In terms of comparable open back cans, I already own the Senn HD580, Grado sr325, and Philips SHP9500. I'm interested in hearing these and $99 is tempting, but I don't really need another set of headphones in the same tier. From what I've read this seems more like a lateral move then a significant upgrade over what I have and I am likely better off putting the $99 towards a higher tier headphone.

JacobHThat's my thought as well - putting $100 on either an actual Planar headphone or one of the other cans I've been eyeing recently. I have open headphones already, which is what makes me pause on this one. If it was Planar, I'd be all over it without a second thought. Otherwise, I'd hope for a T50RP drop at some point....
