Would I be able to replace the velour with leather (or leather-like) pads? Not a fan of "fuzzy" materials.

MaxJ345Hello! There are removable plastic rings that the fabric and padding slip over. On pre-production samples, the fabric is not glued to the removable ring. But, if the fabric is glued to the removable plastic ring when you get them- you can use a cotton swab (Q-Tip) and some rubbing alcohol to help you remove the glue if you need to.
