Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

The internal housing structure has a series of holes, some of which are covered, some partially covered, some totally open. The default configuration results in the sound that reviewers have described, and our FR graph depicts, but you can have a big impact on everything up to 4khz (as well as decreasing bass distortion) by altering the configuration yourself.
Sometime before these ship, we'll likely put together an article showing some of our configurations, outlining ways to turn this from a reference sound to warmer signature.
Good news is, because it's just covering or uncovering holes, the mods are all fully reversible if you have scotch tape (there's actually a better product from post-it, these little stickers that are almost the exact size of the holes, but we'll link that in the article).
If you break the tabs... you're SOL, no direct way to keep the screens in-place without them.
I'm lobbying HiFiMAN to include some extra plastic rings, but if not, be careful and you'll be fine.
