So I will probably use these for gaming. I'll be on console, so I will need a built in mic. Is the wire that will come with it fine? Or do I need to get something else? Any recommendations if so?

Typhoon360ZI don't think there is a mic adapter for these headphones. If I were you I would go with the HyperX Cloud 2 they have fantastic sound and the mic on the headset is removable. http://www.amazon.com/HyperX-Cloud-Gaming-Headset-PS4/dp/B00SAYCVTQ

Typhoon360Zget a mod mic, like Keyros suggested, these phones will be great for gaming if you get a seperate mic
