I have over 30 sets of headphones and these get left in the dust by many of them, some at a lot less money. I listened to FLAC audio downloads through Tidal, using them on 4 of my headphone amps. (Hifiman EF100, PS Audio GCHA, David Belles Custom 1of1, & Music Hall PH25.2) I also listened to vinyl through theses amps using a Monolythic PS-1 Preamp, I found no warmth present whatsoever. They seen lifeless with a tinny and thin like sound , lacking timbre and resonance. Listening fatigue took over within the first 10 minutes. My Beyerdynamic DT990 Pros 250 ohm, Creative Aurvana Creative 2s, Sennheiser HD 598 s & both A-Audio Lyric & Legacy HP's all but destroy the HE-350. I wanted the Hifiman's to be a great leading addition to my fleet , but unfortunately get lost somewhere in the middle of the pack.

SkinnidogChange the stock pads to HM5 angled pleather/velour/whatever you prefer Do bass mod, remove sticker from inside the headphone Pad the headphones with tissue paper or other materials to reduce the high treble peaks (use circle moon cut out style for the paper towel / tissue paper) Use dac+amp Use an equalizer to adjust whatever or be lazy and use DFX Audio Enhancer
If you were expecting an instant good out of the box experience you will be sorely disappointed. The stock pads are terrible, yes they are that bad. They sound good for what they are with modifications. You want a better out of the box experience then buy something else. It's been said many times before in the comments. You may need to dig for all the information you need. Otherwise, give up and sell them and try to recoup some of your losses if you're not satisfied.
