I'm honestly not sure what the point of these are... Why would these be worth having over any other entry-level open-back pair of headphones?

DRaGZBang for the buck on these surpasses most others that I'm aware of.

DRaGZStill plenty of folks out there who might not yet have a decent pair of open backs.

HeeftyBetter than the 58X? From what I've been reading, the past iterations sound like they were decidedly a mixed bag, why would this be much better, just because of a low-pass filter? It's only an extra 60 bucks to get a pair of already much better vetted headphones, only 30 more of you miss this initial drop. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

DRaGZAs of now these are $60 less than 58X, which is notable at this price range. When they go up to $120 it'll be less incentive to buy these. Then the major deciding factors will be sound stage and v-shaped vs flat frequency response. Some folks like the "fun" sound signature. The sound stage is undeniably larger on these compared to 58X. Are either of those a reason to look at these instead? That's entirely subjective. Especially when they're only $30 different. They will still cost less at $120, especially when considering gear to drive them. These can survive with a much weaker amp.

HeeftyEh, I still think it's a weird product. For one, the original drivers already got pretty mixed reviews on the last drops, adding a low-pass filter isn't going to gracefully address that. Would've made more sense if they actually remade the drivers altogether instead of just patching on a bunch of mods. *shrug*
