So excited to try these headphones out I met the delivery person at the door. Plugged them into my amp and... nothing! Right channel totally dead (swapped the inputs to double-check).
Total bummer! Just came here to vent while I await a warranty return.

manateemilitiaMine was the left channel. Between us we have a working set!

pedanticI got tired of waiting for a support response and re-soldered the bad lead myself. Not difficult to do if you have some experience and there are teardown vids on youtube.

manateemilitiaI took the grill off but didn’t see anything obviously wrong. Plus I don’t have a soldering iron. Maybe I’ll just brave the cold and rain in Austin and buy one from Fry’s
Edit: Have a soldering iron now. Did you just desolder and resolder the wire?

pedanticFunny, I'm in Austin as well!
Anyway, yeah, I resoldered the silver wire since it was very loose and I think just held on by the reinforcement thread.
Also, got a response from Massdrop support that I need to contact Hifiman directly for a replacement so I'm glad I went with this fix.

LarsRuneCPHhttps://youtu.be/6SZ1BllYXTI?t=46 You only need to remove the grill. There should be two wires soldered to the connection points for the audio jack. On my set, there wasn't anything that appeared wrong with the wiring. Best of luck.
