Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. Edit: Going to be used for everyday listening and gaming.
Btw this is all through my new schiit jotunheim with the multibit dac. Love it!!!
Reeaally tempted to go for the HE4XX. I've seen some amazing reviews on K7XX but also bad ones. Reading all the reviews and your feedback, might have made it more difficult to choose lol
I thought the T-X0 where a bit too lean for me. Changing the pads of the T-X0 to Dekoni Sheepskin pads helped a good deal, it also add $40+ to the cost.
I would strongly recommended the 4xx. Of course we all different taste, so YMMV.
So weight is similar, but it's going to come down to how it feels on you head.
I can't be of much help.
Couldn't resist, but yeah I think the 4xx was great right out the box, but do think it has settled in some over the last 5 months or so, and I do not listen to them exclusively or really any more than any of my other cans, so kinda doubt I am just acclimatizing to them, but either way is a plus to me.
