Ok I will try to be short in this review but sorry if i can't, This headphone doesn't worth 35 but why? First reason is that these has not enough bass and believe me it isn't enough even for classical music, and the little that it has is distorted, and if you try to equalise it you will only increase distortion and decrease sound quality. Second one is that the sound is thin, and it feels like a laser into your ears if you move the earphones a bit the sound moves a lot, it doesn't become thinner just the laser is pointing to another place of your ultra-wide auditory canal's because doesn't matter how sealed they are by the ear tips you will feel that your auditory canal's are like the sea being illuminated in the night by a lighthouse with these earphones Yes they are that bad. They doesn't worth 35 but also neither worth 5. I don't known what you should buy but I know you shouldn't buy these ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edit:
It's been a year now after I got this earphones, and let me say that they did improve over time, and improved greatly, in fact they almost matched my RE-400 on some areas (yes the bass!) the instrument separation was still better with RE-400 specially on upper mids frequencies. There is still a but, durability is not the best, the right side stopped working after 7 months or so, sonically speaking in the end they did worth the 35 dollars price and more. An improved cable will solve the durability issues.

tyler_smithI thought the same but after almost 100 hours of burn in (two months of daily usage) they got to sound good or even great. I think hifiman should burn in more its earphones before selling them this will help them to find faulty products and also get better new customers reviews
