For anyone complaining about sound, make sure you are using an amp. These earbuds have too high of impedance to work properly with a phone

JustinDitt64Ohm isn't high impedance, and they are relatively efficient with a sensitivity level of 106dB/mW. Sure an amp may help, but a phone with a half decent dac/amp inside should power these just fine.

SomeTechNoobNo haha they definitely don't have a high impedance, just too high for most phones (usually phones work properly up to 30 Ohms)

JustinDittNoob here. What about the LGV20 DAC?

sgtreesh37LG V20 has one of the best dacs in a phone. It should be no problem.

JustinDittAlso, I've never believed in "burn-in," but these have changed that. They don't need anything ridiculous like 24 hours, but definitely give them 3 or 5 hours. They DEFINITELY change; out of the box there was very little bass, but that soon changes. Now thay have quite a nice low end, quantity and quality.

JustinDittI have to partially disagree about the necessity of an amp; while it depends completely on your source, the build in amp in anything I own is easily sufficient. The Colorfly C3, the iPod Nano 2nd gen, and Sansa Clip/Fuze are all totally fine in terms of amping. My LG G3 is too for that matter. Honestly I can't imagine a phone not being sufficient, ive never used one so weak, but I suppose they're probably out there

SlowCousinPeteI'm using an ATH-M50 on a G4 and there is a huge difference between using my phone and computer. Also, my phone overheats a bunch when using the headphones which is a sign that it is putting out too much power. And those are only 35 Ohm impedance. Obviously you'll get good sound from most devices with lower impedance headphones, but there is a huge difference between a phone and an amp that can put out enough power

sgtreesh37While it has an amazing DAC, I'm not sure how the amp is. With these headphones you'll get good sound from any device, but there is just a huge difference when you actually give them enough power. I'd guess that since there is a DAC and they are advertised for having great audio quality, it should have no problem with these.

sgtreesh37I own the LG V20, and I can attest that anything above 50 ohm impedance sounds even better on this phone. I joined this drop after hearing the difference with the VE Monks from a previous drop and also a pair of Soundmagic E80s, both of which have the same 64 ohm impedance as these buds. I believe the V20 can handle up to 600 ohms.
