If I understand correctly, according to the actuation force curves both Halo switches are more similar to the Cherry MX Clear switches than to the brown switches?
BTW, I chose the Halo True switches.

XenoPinguThe True is supposed to be Topre, and the Clear is MX Clear?

XenoPingu'Halo Clear' appear to be Clear, but employing the Halo stem, created in lieu of Kaihua having a Clear option. 'Halo True' is the original concept for use of the Halo stem, the switch is modeled on the Topre force curve: a gentle start due to the lower pretension, a satisfying tactile bump, ending with a much higher resistance to avoid bottoming out.

aeryxzI am intrigued how @HaaTa managed to design a topre feeling mechanical switch without a rubberdome, Time to release more informations about those new switches.

AndrewLekashmanAre the two Halo switches exclusive for the K-Type/input.club for a specific period or will they be rolled out by Kaihua in other keyboard soon ?
XenoPinguOnly Massdrop and Input Club will release Halo switch products, indefinitely.
XenoPinguThis is correct, the stem (which we designed) is the same on both the Halo (True) and Halo (Clear). We had promised a variant for the K-Type that was similar to the Cherry MX Clear feeling from the very beginning, but Jacob's ideal switch was sufficiently different that we decided to do two versions. The core difference between the two is the spring chosen, these are not standard springs, as they were very carefully picked to re-create the proper force curve.

AndrewLekashmanAndrew! Welcome home dude! Here's to hoping these switches and cherry stabs find a home in a ErgoDox kit. Thanks IC for all the work on the new switches too.

AndrewLekashmanCan we get a video or an audio sample to hear how the two Halo switch types sound like?

AndrewLekashmanI noticed something on the Halo True info page, there is written: Tactile event~1.9 mm Now looking at the curve, the tactile event should be at about ~0.5 mm, or?
Edit: Same at Halo Clear?
