I received my k-type in November and I have been using it as my daily keyboard every day since I got it. Yesterday I had an issue where 7 keys suddenly failed and will not register key presses. My other keyboards work just fine, and Im not sure if it is something I have done accidentally to disable them, if it is a mechanical issue, or if it is a bug with the software. Has anyone had this happen to them and did anyone find a solution? Thanks.
SavesthedaySorry to hear about the issues, been using mine daily as well, haven't had any issues to speak of.
For your problem, you can always try flashing some new factory firmware onto it, available here: https://input.club/configurator-k-type/
If that doesn't work, I'd get in contact with MD's customer service and see if they'll repair/replace. Good luck!
SavesthedayDid you ever fix your issue? One Two and Three has stopped working on my K type, I've tried re flashing it( on older versions too), different cables, and different usb ports. Still no luck.
koolkoalaYou can try replacing the switches to narraw down if it's a board or switch issue.
There's always the Hako Switches available if all else fails switch-wise.
koolkoalaWell, even if it wasn't direct, perhaps it can be fixed by MD, or perhaps you can have the board remade with the open source files? Not sure. Sorry
koolkoalaGood luck!
Not sure if it would bear fruits, but you could always see if Input Club was willing to offer any advice or help. It was their baby and they seem like good people.
