It seems like the gloss finish is adding to the cost of these speakers. Honestly, as much as I value aesthetics, I would never pay a premium on audio equipment for just aesthetic improvements. Are these exactly the same as regular LSR305s? If so, I think Massdrop has really made a mistake with this one. The whole purpose of these deals with the manufacturers (in my opinion) was to obtain lower prices on quality products. Although I find the piano finish nice, it will be a fingerprint and dust magnet, which sucks. Also can you detach the rubber feet if you want? If I plan to mount these on my walls I don't want the feet showing up.
yujikimuraHey there, just posted this, you may find it interesting given the content of your post: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-jbl-lsr30x-powered-speakers/talk/1717982?utm_source=linkshare&referer=R6FTNP
The rubber feet are removable. They don't come attached actually (that way they're not damaged in shipment) so no need to worry about unnecessary feet in a mounting solution.
