I have been waiting for massdrop to do a calibration on bookshelf speakers/monitors for soooooo long (somewhat holding out for the deal). These are tempting, but I was honestly hoping for a collaboration with a higher end company (no offense JBL) that produces a product I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford like Genelec, Adams, etc. I like the Fostex TH-X00 and Grace m9XX approach where massdrop brought a line of high end products that are often out of price range for some people and put them in at a more affordable price point. This is the release of the same product at the same price (even more expensive) with marginal upgrades. I'm sure it is a great product, not doubting its value necessarily, just prefer a different angle of approach from massdrop collaborations.
