I currently have the mackie CR3 on my computer setup, Schite Modi 2 Multibit and Magni 2 Uber. I am a big fan of JBl speaker quality, so my question like usual is this a good upgrade? Thanks all.

Bzero007You have two great Schiit pieces but just those little Mackies? =D You're missing out, my friend. Even though they're only 5", you'll have an extended bottom end with the LSR305/30X because of their cabinet design. They will be an improvement for sure, and your Schiit Audio gear will shine better. I use an Asgard 2 as a pre-amp between my LSR308 and my Zoom TAC-2 and they are too much for my small home studio. The bass sometimes gets boomy, even at -2, and makes the aluminum windows in the living room vibrate. I definitely don't need a sub with them.
I ordered these LSR30x to move the bigger ones out and use them in the living room. I recommend them, my friend. These budget LSR Series monitors are a lot of sound for the money spent. The tweeters hiss loud in a quiet room, but the stereo imaging is IMPRESSIVE: you literally hear a phantom center channel instead of just a stereo image. The sound is that alive and detached from the monitors. The center sounds in the mix appear to come out of the computer screen, not from the speakers. It never fails to make me smile. God bless you.
PS: How do you like the Multibit sound? Is it really sparklier and more real? I'm still in Delta-sigma land with my Denon DA-300USB. I want a Modi MB, but it's way smaller than the Asgard 2. I desire matching cases, so a Bifrost MB is my only option. I need to decide. I don't want to spend money that my ears will not hear.
