Just received mine and have set them up (they look gorgeous!) however i am having an issue with low buzzing noise, which can be heard when nothing is playing through.
some articles i read said it can be a bad/wrong cable, however i'm using the one that came with this drop, so i doubt it's that.
I switched the -10 to +4db sensitivity and that brought it down quite noticably, however it's still there, and on top of that, i now have to turn the speakers to max and and use my control knob up most of the way to get it to nice loud(ish) volumes.
The other obvious culprit is my on board audio is getting interference, but my motherboard is supposed to have an above average sound card (it reports it as a Sound Blaster-FI MB5+ALC1220 1200b SNR HD Audio), so i would hope that's not the case. (it doesn't seem to happen when i plug them into my phone, which would have a worse DAC, i'd assume)
They're both, and the computer, plugged into a grounded strip.
any quick/good ideas?

AscalonHi there,
I have ordered a pair which are getting delivered soon. I did some research before buying however I am no expert.
From what you are describing, it sounds like you have ground loop loop interference. From what I understand, it occurs often when the source input and monitors are powered from the same source - ie the same power strip.
What you could try is to have the monitors running on a different power strip to the PC/ DAC if possible. NB: Different at the wall too - so different wall sockets. From what I've read and understood from conversations from someone working at a my local musical instrument and equipment store, that should clear up any buzzing or interference.
If that doesn't help, then sorry - I don't know enough to give a somewhat educated opinion.
Good luck!

MaheshZAwell i ran a 50' cable to plug my PC into a different socket on the other side of the house from where the monitors are plugged in. (i also tried plugging the JBLs into a far socket, no change.) I even found a spare power cord and ripped out the third grounding prong, and it was still there (it might have been less though).
the buzzing gets worse exponentially when i start up a game. different games make a different buzz, which i thought was odd.

AscalonSo i was able to figure it out, i had to plug my computer into a different power brick NOT JUST A DIFFERENT SOCKET, since i plugged the computer into a socket on the other side of the house and that didn't work... no, i had to use a better power brick to clean up the interference. ( i also use a power cable that i ripped the grounding prong out of, don't know if that made a difference or no)
*Update: I was wrong, it was solely because i ripped out the grounding plug of a power cable that my computer hooked up to. So that i didn't have to keep my computer plugged in with no grounding, i purchased this guy for 9 bucks https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B019393MV2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . after hooking that up, no problems.
