Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I thought to get the LSR 305s or get in on the LS 30X drop, but for movies and TV I think the extra response of the larger driver makes a difference. Lows have some pretty amazing power which I'm really diggin and believe it or not they scale with nicer dacs. As far as the accuracy lacking because of the bigger driver, I can't speak for that. At some point I'll likely pick up 2 Pangea Power Cables for them and switch my SYS to a Schiit Saga, the addition of a Tube should help with the Imaging overall and add soften up what I feel is a very hard top end. I've already got them running through a power conditioner in the movie room. But given the smaller size of our movie room I doubt these will ever really compete with more competitive products in terms of accuracy, precision and imaging overall. Any upgrades I throw at them are only to maximize the movie experience and to get to play around with a Tube Pre, as I'm sure I'll find a better use for it later down the road.
I've not heard the Kef LS 50s either, I paid $400 for my LSR308s but I also got a 36month 0% financing offer, so that worked better for me. Plus I've got mine on Stands next to out television, I had no space for the smaller ones on my Desk. Still though had I known these would drop down as low as $179 for a PAIR!!! Which is crazy, I'd have gotten these for sure.
Non the less I'm impressed with the larger driver, and I'd encourage any one on the fence to grab these! The JBL Professional Speaker sound as I'm experiencing with the larger model is pretty impressive. It's not the END game in clarity imaging or resolve but they are stunningly balanced in frequency response
wishing I'd waited a little longer before I got a pair of speakers my self, either way though this is a good deal guys! If you don't have any speakers yet I'd grab these, heck if I had an extra $180 I'd get a pair my self too lol
