I don't get all the GMK hype. Those ABS plastic keycaps are worth maybe 50 $, rest is all marketing. Also why we need to buy full set ? If you need more of our money just make a better product.

JeskoPeople probably have an opinion on most if not all items that are listed on MD yet people with half a functioning brain don't see the incessant need to drop their (unwanted) opinion in the commentary on these items. Especially when said commentary has been repeated over and over and over again like a broken record.
Let me guess, you haven't purchased a GMK set before. People pay these prices because they want quality and if you know the cost of creating a keyset with a custom colourway as a business you might understand. So when I see your post all I see is an unwanted opinion of a child whining that there is a shiny new toy on the internet that he/she can't afford.
And someone dropping "mom jokes" in 2017 then lecturing others on punchlines, how ironic.

JeskoIt is literally almost impossible to split up a GMK set, and sets that try (like GMK Retro) fail. MOQ with custom colors is 250 units, so EVERY kit would need to hit 250 to tip. When you combine all the keys into one kit, and then trim the fat, you get a quality kit that will cover many keyboards for a lower price because everyone is buying the same kit.
Might not be the set for you, but clearly many love GMK and this set.
