EcksI have an RF87u -- they're beautiful boards. But it ain't easy to read the text on the black caps, and replacement caps for Topre sliders are tough to come by.
tjcaustinThose are nice, but you should tell him although that he'll be stuck with the topre genuine sliders on the stabilized switches.
So far one has to harvest a Novatouch for going full Cherrystyle.
MakamiYeah, I'm not going to take a step back in quality (no offense) in my mind. After typing on Cherry MX's for years, then getting a Topre RF I'm in heaven. Love everything about the Topre boards other than their general lack of customization. Still, would't give up my bitchin' board for some added bling.
EcksI feel you, 90% of my typing is done with one or the other Topre.
But my personal endgame is Topre with Cherrysliders.
Only thing left is an aluminum case (one day its going to happen :))
MakamiI've thought about getting a silenced cherry and building the entire thing up. There was a gentleman I spoke to a while ago about building it from the ground up and, while daunting, made me want to try it.
Beautiful color scheme, by the way.
Is this a direct replacement of keys for my Realforce 87u Tenkeyless Silent keyboard I already have?
Edit:
