Any chance of adding a homing kit but with all 8 home row keys in deep dish instead of just two, specifically in colemak (so arst neio)? It's really a thousand times better than just the two keys, I can't imagine that anyone who tried it, even for a couple minutes, would ever be willing to use anything else ever again.
MacGruber117It would be arst and neio all being deep dish in colemak. Or asdf jkl; all being deep dish in qwerty.
Two deep dish keys isn't nearly enough, it should be all resting home row fingers.
CommunistWitchDrWhilst I understand the basis behind the proposition and agree that deep dishing all the resting fingers' keys realistically makes more sense than just deep dishing the two, I disagree that "anyone" would prefer that system invariably - I consistently type between 120 to 130 wpm comfortably and with zero strain and I've not used homing keys for years.
A friend whose typeracer average over thousands of races is 145 rests his fingers on shift awd and kl enter. Same person streamed several conversations with Sean Wrona who also believes homing and indicators are only relevant until you learn to touch type consistently (which he learned to do at 3 years old), a notion I definitely agree with.
That went a little more offtopic than I'd planned, either way, creating deep dish moulds (or brass covers as I believe SP does) for all those keys would be pretty pricey, I think realistically one would not expect such a kit to see much/enough success despite its theoretical benefits.
VigrithI stand by what I said. Homing nubs, I'd hate to have on more than two keys. But deep dish keys are far and away more comfortable than the standard DSA keys. It's not about finding home row; it's about making the resting position more comfortable. The entire set of keys being deep dish would be almost as fine.
