My "go-to" pillow! Pack this on every single trip I've taken, whether tent, hammock, or open air. So small the weight/space is honestly negligible. Big neck saver the next morning when you wake up!

I'm very pleased with this pillow, particularly the X design that provides indentation in the middle so one's head doesn't roll off. That said, I'm kind of a Princess-and-the-Pea sort of person, so I add an inch of foam to soften the 4-point pressure and raise it just a tad. (It is tall enough if I inflate it hard, but then it's not soft; if I deflate it, it's more forgiving, but not tall enough.)

Obviously not as comfortable as a traditional pillow but there again, you don't go camping to be as comfortable as traditionally you would be in a bed. Small, lightweight = excellent to take tramping and backpacking, easy to clean.

The "x-pattern" of the pillow helps keep your head on it in which makes it great for travel as well. I took this on a 6-hour flight and slept the whole time; woke up in the same place I fell asleep. I also use it as a lower back pillow at work which is nice.
It's a little difficult to roll up once you've inflated it, I'm not sure if making more paths in-between each chamber would help but rolling the air out of it can be quite a challenge as is. Otherwise it's an excellent product.

used this pillow last night while on a 3-night camping trip near Brasstown Bald Georgia. Good pillow, especially for $15. Seems like my head rests comfortably right in the center of the "X", but it still sleeps well when I rollover to my side. I have never seemed to miss a pillow case or any "softness" with this pillow but that would be an option. If you thought you needed it you could always stuff it in a garment - shirt or pant. I camp exclusively with a hammock, so I can't comment on how it sleeps on the ground. I've have only used it for 3-season camping, as well

Yes, it was small, compact and lightweight but I didn't like the texture and feel when sleeping. Perhaps it was just me. But I gave it to a friend that does ultra lightweight camping and he loves it, so perhaps a 4 after all? I doubt I would get another. YMMV

Finally, a decent pillow!!!   I have purchased many and have been unhappy with all of them.   Then I saw this one!!   My head fits nicely in the middle eliminating the sliding effect and having to find the "lost" pillow several times a night.   I agree totally with other users, the neck is beautifully cradled eliminating tossing and turning to get comfy and getting a better night's sleep.   Very happy!!!!

Awesome!!!! And in my "To-Go Bag" as my Travel pillow for all the same reasons listed below by other 4 & 5 Star, community member reviews. Regarding “Additional Comfort”, 5 stars were not provided here, as prior to purchase I was informed that the Pillow X would fit into the back pouch of the Klimit Top Down Pillow. The ability to combine the two pillows to create a hybrid with enhanced comfort, while being able to keep them together over the course of an evening’s sleep was most appealing. Problem: Unfortunately the 2 are not compatible in this respect, as the pouch provided on the Top Down Pillow is too small to accommodate the pillow X when properly inflated. Solution: Incorporating a material into the pouch design would allow the pouch to stretch over the Pillow X and solve the problem. Benefit: Stretchy back pouch will provide more flexibility for alterative applications, such as the ability to fit the headrest of a car seat into the pouch. Perfect for times when you’re trying to get a few winks in your Ride!

Using it at the hospital where I’m keeping a loved one company during his stay. It’s suprisingly comfortable to use.

A little slippery... have yet to use it on the trail, but I did take it to a retreat for a week and used it every night. Great little extra pillow!

Super light weight, great for backpacking or car camping while taking up almost no precious space!

Takes about 3 full breath to fully inflate it. Personally I prefer it inflated at 75% and cover it with clothes to provide additional padding. Storing takes only a few seconds with the quick release cap.

Cant wait to use this. I never cared for using rolled clothes or jackets as my pillow

I would not recommend this to anyone planning on using it for a thru hike. Mine started leaking after almost 2 months use on the PCT.

Cradles the head well

For me it's not that comfortable. It is lightweight and compact, but it gets left behind in the gear drawer. I've been known to pad a rock for a nap so that should tell you something. Convenience and weight are decent but it just doesn't work for me YMMV

I liked this a lot for backpacking. It takes a little getting used to, but since I don't move a lot in my sleep, it works great. Dialing in the right amount of air is key, as I found that not fully inflating it got it to feel the most like a regular pillow. I bought one for my girlfriend, but she found it less comfortable and preferred to just stuff a jacket in a stuff sack, and found it didn't really stay under her head all night.

I really don't like this pillow. I've always used stuff sacks with clothes or my down jacket in the past. I thought I'd take the plunge buying this as my first pillow due to its low cost and weight. The only people I can see liking this pillow are back sleepers who fall to sleep easily. Otherwise the deep X indentation is very uncomfortable for side and stomach sleepers since it forces your mouth and nose to get somewhat buried in the middle of the pillow. Even when I covered the pillow with a shirt I often found the middle of the X moist from drool and condensation. I wouldn't recommend this pillow for most backpackers, you can buy better pillows from Exped, NEMO, Cocoon, Therm-a-rest, and Sea to Summit for a little bit more money and weight. I bought a Cocoon HyperLight that weighs only 0.8 oz more and is far more comfortable than this. Pros: Extremely lightweight and compact Easy to inflate Cons: Not comfortable at all Does not work well when under-inflated The X design means you have to place your head in the middle of the X indentation because otherwise your head will slide off the pillow And the X design sucks for side and stomach sleepers because you'll often find your face plastered to the middle of the X with condensation and drool

This pillow gets a lot right - it is lightweight, inexpensive and inflates up quickly. The unique X-shaped design creates a perfect crater for the back of your head (in theory at least). Unfortunately, there is a design flaw that makes overnight use less than enjoyable. It slides around a lot when used on a sleeping pad or hammock. After a couple of restless nights trying to make it stay in place I gave up, rolled up my hoodie into a ball and used that as a pillow instead. I wish this had a layer of grippy silicone on the underside (like on some ski jacket hems). Until this issue is addressed, I'm going to have to relegate this strictly for car/flight use - a shame given how good it is in all other aspects.

Easy to inflate and comfortable for sleeping. Love how compact it is too!

Purchased two, gave both away. Uncomfortable, cold, and moves around way too much on our sleeping pads. Ended up using my clothes bag with a wool buff instead on the trips I took the klymit pillow on.

I mean its cool how tightly packed it gets. and it does work. but its pretty uncomfortable. If you need a backpacking pillow though get it

I've used this pillow for a long time every time I go camping and due to its size I take it every time I'll be staying somewhere just to add some extra height underneath thin pillows. Currently it's filling the latter role nicely as I've been travelling the world for 9 months... So I'd say she holds up well! Only "downside" is that it is noisy when you move around if you're a terrible sleeper like I am.

Is it cheating if i use it for adjustable back support?! I love and rely on this product.

Just bought this pillow and took it on a 5 day hike. So comfortable! I will pack it every trip now.

Everything you’d want in a pillow like this. No complaints at all.

I am relly satisfied. Very comfortable.

If can't take your favourite pillow with you everywhere then you need one of these in your bag. It is small, lightweight, and comfortable. No regrets because I bought two!

Great small pillow for camping! Packs super small, lightweight. Before I got the Klymit pillow, I used a rolled up sweatshirt. The Klymit pillow is much more comfortable and much smaller to pack when hiking.

We used this pillow on Isle Royale and although we liked it, one suggestion- maybe include/offer a slide-resistant pillow case so you are not spending the night chasing it around on your pad
