Can someone who bought the Insulated version let me know what the weight is (checked at home) as the advertised weight seems low when I've tried to compare to REI and others. Now, it could well be that the Mass Drop pad is an older version ? Looks like it's narrower than the new ones. Not a bad thing for me as my Big Agnes is comfrotable and 17 oz but really noisy in my Big Agens Flycreek Tent. I'm going to try putting something under it and that might help.
Beside the weight check- has anyone had a problem with the Klymit Insulated pad being noisy?

CarolEB2@CarolEB2 - this is a brand new pad that isn't available anywhere else. Not REI, Amazon or even Klymit.com has this pad.

DannyMilksThx, that's interesting. If the weight is true and really isn't noisy that'd be great. Love some feedback.

CarolEB2Mine came in at exactly 16.9 oz for the insulated pad. One of the major reasons I bought it was because it isn't noisy. Thermarest NeoAir is notoriously loud . . . and costs nearly three times as much.

DannyMilksThere is one at REI that is just about the same if someone wanted to check it out before buying it.. Klymit Static V Lite Insulated Sleeping Pad A lightweight sleeping pad for year-round use, the Static V Lite Insulated Sleeping Pad uses V-chamber body mapping and lightweight synthetic insulation to optimize comfort and warmth.

CarolEB2Yeah it's noisy as hell. My wife and i kept waking each other up all night moving around. Sounds like squeaking your fingers across a balloon.

octavecatAw crap, looks like I might now own 2 noisy (but lightweight!) pads. Someone suggested to me that my Big Agnes Flycreek floor adds to the problem as that material makes it even worse so I'll try putting something under it if mine Klymit ends up noisy too. If that doesn't work than maybe a sleeping pill will just knok me out so I don't move around so much!

CarolEB2This is an exclusive to Masdrop pad. No one else will carry it. So you can't go try it out.

CarolEB2Following up here. I learned a trick from a friend that has made life a lot better for all Klymit pads: Go get some seam sealer, turn your inflated pad upside down in the sun, and sprinkle drops of seam sealer all over the bottom in a scatter pattern. Don't brush it on, you need them to be a bit goopy. When they dry, they'll be a bit tacky and prevent the sleeping pad from sliding around & squeaking.

octavecatInteresting. I'll think on that or do a small test first and then go for it if it seems like a solution. Thx!
