Hi all, have used mine 3x now on various 1-2 nighters here in California. Nothing fancy, just family stuff. I'm not too thrilled w/this one and just wanted to offer some feedback. I have the regular Static V insulated as well. This one seems to have two main differences in how it performs (aside from the valve and lighter materials): it's narrower and slippier. That results in a sleeping pad that's like butter on a hot pan under you. Our site last night was on a slight slope and i was slipping off the pad all night from the slightest movement. I don't have that problem on the Static V or my older thermarests. The Static V is grippy, to the point where turning on it results in a bit of a squeak sound (I'm using a klymit bag as well). I'm only 5'6" and normal build, too, so it's not like i have some big fat ass trying to sleep on top of a popsicle stick.
Overall I will keep using this for a bit longer to see if I end up liking it, but so far i can't say the narrow footprint works unless you are someone who goes to sleep on your back, goes into a coma for the night, then wakes up on your back again.
