Good headphones for the price. Lots of people say they're the best headphones you can get for under $100. Once you look past the design (if that's not your thing) they're a very good piece of kit. Personally, I've got 3 pairs. SportaPro (same drivers, cheaper non-adjustable plastic headband but adjusts to go behind the head) for exercise, Standard PortaPro for listening and then picked up the same model as this drop with inline mic.
I only have these and my Sony MDR 7506 to comapare long term, but they're a bit more on the mid and bass compared to the Sonys. Open ear is nice, super light to wear on the head. I've put on a couple of my friends other $100-$150 gaming headsets and still thought the Porta Pro were better.
I've had 2 of them get the cables crinked up from my own carelessness, but I send them in with something like $10 for shipping/handling and they'll send you back a repaired (or replacement) headset. Their warranty is a no questions asked policy. Send in a broken pair, they'll repair and send you a new one.
