Received mine today. They're a bit different from my older pair of PortaPros (which still work perfectly fine), a short review: -First off, the wires out of the earpieces are a little thinner than on the older pair (up until the splitter, it gets better from there), which makes them seem a little more vulnerable. Koss should really have a look at this! Anyway, time will tell if they'll hold. -The jack plug is straight, vs angled in the older pair/"original". -They sound a little quieter (as in: less efficient) than the original, but also a little bit less grainy / little more even. Basically they sound more or less the same as the kph30i, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Possibly an updated driver? -The sliding mechanism of the headband is a bit more stubborn, probably due to the darker painting, I guess this will ease a bit over time. -They have an inline mic and remote, which is great -They look cooler than the original -They're still a great buy!

Merv73Are the cable sensitive to movement? So if it got bumped in some way that it produces a faint noise? Was wondering about this.

oldmanboyCan't tell yet, but the standard (non- Massdrop) PortaPro has a little noise sometimes. Nothing to worry about though. The kph30i (also here on Massdrop) has the same cable as the Porta Pro shown here, and there's no noteworthy cable noise with that one.

oldmanboyThe cables are not very microphonic, but they are just a tiny bit where it's thinnest after the Y split. Fortunately you really don't have to worry about it, they are good.
