Good grief. Base, mods, numpad, and RGB is $165. I bought an entire WASD keyboard, with a similar color pattern, for $155. What makes this set of caps alone worth more than an entire, complete keyboard? Serious question.

renegadeIXPBT plastic and the fact that it's thick and not cheaply made adds a decent level of cost, but for the most part it's the fact that it's highly custom. Making a mold for a keycap costs around $3-5 grand per key. So there is a lot of upfront tooling that is required before they can start factoring the cost of material. So it's not uncommon to see high quality keycaps of custom colors go for up to $250

renegadeIXThere's 2 basic reasons to buy keycaps. 1 is to get something that looks a certain way. The other is to get something that feels a certain way.
These are worth it primarily because of the feel, although they also look pretty sick. But the plastic is significantly better quality than the abs on WASD's keyboards.
I never believed it myself when I first got into keyboards. Find some PBT caps to try out some time, if you get a chance, and try to go to a keyboard meetup and try out some SA or other high profile caps. They are substantially different and far more expensive to get.

TelFiREWell said. I mean, I really like my WASD Code, but even their custom caps don't compare in quality to some of the more generic PBT keycaps, let alone a completely custom set like this.

How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?

I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".
