Hi. I’m new to mechanical keyboards and love this design. if I order I think it’s only the key caps I’d get. i Think I’d need the base for the keys too. Am I correct? any responses are appreciated. Thanks.

WtybrownYes you only get keycaps. You already need a keyboard. And depending on your keyboard, you would have to buy a number of kits to cover all the keys on that keyboard. If you tell us what keyboard you want to put these on, I or someone else can help you figure out what kits you need.

WtybrownI'm not sure if those are based on specific keyboards that actually exist, but it looks like generic TKL and 60% renders to me. Meaning you could buy any standard aluminum TKL or 60% keyboard and it'll look like the ones in the picture, for the most part. I'm heading to work right now so I can't send you examples and let you know what kits you'll need, yet. If someone hasn't covered it already by the time I get to work, I'll reply to you again.
WtybrownYou just hit up the mechanical keyboard subreddit. That's the best place to learn, start, see pictures, ask questions, etc. This is a specialized product discussion, but that sub would be a fantastic place to see what you didn't even know about.

WtybrownI'm fairly new to mech keys too. I joined the drop for the GMMK full size keyboard which I plan to use these keycaps on (fairly cheap, swappable switches, RGB backlighting, standard 104 key layout so it works with any cap set that is MX compatible). For this drop had to buy a base set for the alpha keys, a modifier set for the non alpha keys, and the numpad... And added the CMY kit for a bit more color. Most people like the ten-keyless or smaller KBs but I use numpad so much that I use full size. Wish I could adjust to using a smaller keyboard, I guess I could use a TKL and separate numpad. I learned a lot from the mechanical keyboards subreddit too, after I'd already bought a non standard gaming keyboard that I do love but don't need the bazillion extra keys on it. Brown switches are my personal favorite as I do more typing, not much of a gamer.
