Hey everyone, quick update from MEE Audio. They've been following the discussion and saw all the requests for a non-mic cable. While they can't include it for free, they have agreed to make it available at checkout for 50% off their standard retail price. Where this cable normally goes for $30, it is now available at checkout for $15.
All those who have already purchased and would like to add the cable can do so from their transaction page.
Thanks for your interest in this drop and feel free to respond to this post with your questions, I'll be checking back over the weekend and early next week.

WillThat's good to hear - is it the same silver plated 99% copper cable from the original P1?

aramkIt's probably a non-silver plated 99.99% copper cable. You can check it at their website. They also sell non-mic cable for $29.99 while the 'audiophile' cable costs $49.99.

HeadfoniakThe silver would be a great option if they allow it

WillJust saying, would be much better having the same option towards silver-plated cable, for 25$ (50% off), then people fill up their expectations.

WillSo for an additional $15 we get both the in-line mic cable and the non-mic cable?

Alfred1I'm curious, what do you like about the silver-plated cable over the standard copper cable?

WillSilver - brighter sound ('cool sound') | faster Copper - more bass('warm sound') | slower
Both good. By the end of the day, you won't notice such a different between those.. but it's nice to have a silver one ass well.
DannyZHey DannyZ, we'll see what Alfred1 has to say, but I can assure you, silver plated copper and copper sound the exact same. Loads of papers on the topic, there's no measurable difference. Early on in my headphone progression I wanted to check this out, so I got a K702 with silver dragon cable, pure silver cable. Spent several hours doing blind A/B tests with the help of a friend... Nothing.
I've heard $20k cables and $2 cables, there's no difference in the sound and to the best of my knowledge, no credible reviewers support the cable argument at this point.
The only time a reasonable argument could be made is if you live in an area with massive electromagnetic interference and you need the $20 cable (over the $2 cable) because it has extra shielding. Examples would be, you live in a cell tower (tree house style) or between two giant electromagnets.

WillHi Will.
For the optional cable ($15), will these refinement be included?
Extract from Description page: When developing the Pinnacle PX, we worked with MEE Audio to make a number of changes with the wearer’s comfort and the IEM’s longevity in mind. The 3.5-millimeter plug and internal MMCX connector design were updated for better durability, and a bit of clear heatshrink tubing was added to the MMCX connectors for improved strain relief. Plus, the compound for the cable sheath was reformulated for additional resistance to sweat and oils from the skin.

WillMaybe it's just me, but these are what 8 notice between those. As I said by the end, you won't notice that much of a different, almost the same.

WillI admit the fact that an average person won't hear the difference. Without denying that self-deception does a lot. But the main thing of the well-made cable is still reliability and durability, and aesthetic pleasure is also not the last.
Concerning the sound, people share different opinions. If you read some forums on hed-fi where the influence of cables is discussed, there are those who notice the difference of p1 sound, especially with the silver cable connecting with balance. OFC it depends on the person's ear, whether he will hear the difference or no. Even though comparing earphones between 50$ and 300$ most of the crowd don't get seriously a price politics.
You're right that maybe there won't be a difference, but I would be pleased to have a durable, magnificent one.

Alfred1I owned the p1s and honestly could not tell the difference between the cables even with a good source and amplifier. I think it's mostly snake oil because as far as I can find there is no measurable difference in the signal between the two.
