Can anyone give any thoughts on how these compare to the Noble X?

The PX are more detailed, both in terms of stuff like guitar crunch/violin grain AND in terms of the hidden details that won't pop up with other IEMs, such as the sound of the pedals being pressed on guitar pieces, or talking during the recording session. The Noble X has a more relaxed and warm signature and can even be considered kind of dark, but the PX in contrast has better treble. Both require playing around with eartips for the best bass extension (I use spiral dots for the Nobles and the included double flange tips for the PX), though the Nobles will seem bassier just by contrast with how subdued their highs are vis-a-vis the pinnacle. In the end, the Nobles X has an easy listening signature when you just want to kick back a bit and enjoy your tunes, while the PX has what I would consider a more analytical and engaging signature.
For a while I was considering getting a custom IEM to be my be all, end all, and though I decided against it, I personally would want a CIEM to sound more like the PX than the Noble X, but that's just my subjective tastes.

Cattycake1988*Pedals being pressed on piano pieces, I should say. I don't know why I said guitar. AFAIK, I can't hear effects pedals being pressed on rock/metal.

qu11355It's hard to say because they both sound good but in different ways. It's possible to be so married to the sound signature of one that the other doesn't really fulfill, but if you are the type of person who can appreciate different signatures for different genres, I would wholeheartedly recommend you pick up the PX. Just really play around with tips. The small double and triple flange cushions seemed intimidating at first but when I tried them, I found them best for getting a natural and extended bass response.
