I have a pair of Massdrop Plus and I cannot enjoy any of my other previous IEMs more than it. I am really thinking it the end. Now with this new driver technology, is there any meaning of purchasing Massdrop x MEE audio Planamic? Will it give me something that is missing in MD+?

phaysaalNo way to know until people have actually heard it, and I'm not sure I'd say "missing", but there are some differences between something that's all balanced armature drivers and something that's a single dynamic driver or a planar driver. Dynamic bass will tend to be slower than BA bass but hit harder. Planar bass is usually faster than dynamic bass. There isn't a better or worse here, necessarily, though. And I don't know whether the "planamic" driver will be more like a dynamic or more like a planar in sound.
One area where this (and almost any other single-driver earphone) will probably have an edge over the Plus is in source sensitivity. The Plus is sensitive to source impedance. (This is true of a lot of multi-driver earphones, but I think more so with the plus than many others.) I find for many of the things I plug in the Plus into, I need to use an iFi IEMatch for best results, which is an inconvenience.
