tinyman392And an even more massive treble roll-off. I do occasionally like a more laid back treble but this roll-off start way too early, and there isn't a little bit of 9-10k boost to bring some shimmer and openness - this will be one very warm and intimate sounding iem
kova4aI feel like openness and air come from >10k, so there may be some of that. But definitely will be missing some shimmer. That small peak at 4K seems somewhat interesting, though I normally see that around 2k. Not sure how they are trying to voice this driver.
That said, if they can tame the bass (not make it boomy), they can get a smooth sounding headphone out of it that is very warm and intimate (something many planars have been known for). But if it booms, then you kind of lose that.
kova4aHonestly, it doesn't start to roll-off until after 4k hz which is still in the low to mid treble region. Oddly, that's where the piano ends at and all other instruments and voices fall within the its range. The high-treble here will affect harmonics and I'm curious how that will alter the tone, timbre, and "voice" of certain instruments.
These are the measurements that came with my HiFiMan RE-1000 CIEM when I received them. They look very similar, though with a smaller bass boost. Although its not my preferred signature, I do enjoy listening to my RE-1000, hopefully these end up being similar to the RE-1000 with less bass.
tinyman392Glad I waited to see the charts before committing. While I prefer a bass-biased sound signature, these charts look scary from a fidelity perspective.
