I’ve synced with MiTo about the samples and after a thorough review of them, he has green-lit the current batch. MiTo will be making a separate post with images that he took to give the community a deeper insight into his process of making sure that his design has actually materialized. In the meantime, I am providing the detailed timeline for everyone below.
As Kunal mentioned in the earlier post, the production will take 50 business days. We are currently looking at mid September for the production to be completed. Factoring in ship time and buffering in other variables, we should have the units out to everyone early October.
However, since FTC rules state that we provide you with a revised ship date that is final, we’ll be sending everyone a form that would require you to opt back into the drop with the revised ship date of October 31, 2017. This has been calculated by us to make sure that we are giving the production and Logistics teams enough buffer. Our Community Support team will be sending an email to everyone in the drop detailing the next steps.
If you would prefer to cancel your order, please contact Community Support using the “Contact Support” button on your transactions page and our Community Support Team will be able to help cancel your order up until it is ready for shipment.

YanboWuThese are a gem and will be my daily drivers, but I would KILL for the colors. Since they're still in production, is there any way to offer those of us who are staying on the drop 'upgrade' kits? I'm sure I'm not the only one!
YanboWuYes Yanbo, please consider starting another drop to sell the sets that were cancelled soon. (Although i don't think many will do that.) It will be a long shot, but i still want to get some modifiers since i forgot about those last time.
YanboWuI have recieved the form to stay in the drop and I answered that I wan to stay, but the status keeps saying ( No reply received - order will cancel after October 26th ) Any idea?
VictorRuizMines exactly the same, I opted in on Sat - I'm assuming were it says '1-2' business days it must be a manual process, otherwise it would just happen instantly? I'm going to give it till tuesday and then seek support..
YanboWuAlready replied as well and it shows No Reply. Which is odd, since I had literally done the same thing with the Topre JIS board drop, which already shows that there was a reply received for it. Guess maybe it's just a longer queue of people to sort through in their google form?
YanboWuI'm trying to understand the reason for the delay. I read through the post, and the link, but didn't find the answer (I.e. We just got the QA set, and couldn't sign off until we saw them IRL.) I am not complaining, I would rather the sets look good, than crappy. But I just want to understand the reason. Thx in advance...

YanboWuI opted back in through the form that was mailed by massdrop, however I see a lot of people talking about a status update. I'm unsure where I could see mine and just wanted to make sure that I'm still in.
BrainFlushExcellent, you can have mine, I couldn't select cancel fast enough. I only bought it to have some caps for when the planck comes, but one has a release date 4 months longer and the other doesn't even have a release date anymore. Hope they look somewhat close to what they were supposed to be for those who actually opted in.
bsastorI call bullshit! Over a WEEK ago they were in the MD warehouse supposedly. It doesn't take a week to open a random sampling of boxes and look at the print quality. This is FOUR MONTHS PAST SHIP. I'm tired of everyone making excuses for what is clearly a horrific excuse for product management and customer service.

bsastorAccording to the last official update shipping would take place by end of September and early/mid October, so we are still in time - considering the extension of timelines due to delays.
I just want to make clear that I'm merely the designer of this product, I live in Brazil and Massdrop headquarters are located in San Francisco. If I'm not mistaken there's a warehouse in New Jersey and another one somewhere else. Unfortunately I have absolutely no control over logistics and shipment procedures, all I do is design the product interact with you all, give directions and to some extent, do appropriate quality control.

If there were any relevant updates I guarantee to you that they would have been posted by now. Like you just said, it seems that Massdrop is checking increments to ensure the whole drop is of good quality. I don't know how many hours this process is going to take, or how many days. However it's very clear to me that it won't take more than 3 or 4 weeks to have these keycaps totally shipped.
I understand the impatience, you can be sure that I'd love to have this drop finished as soon as possible too. Designing it and ensuring top level quality was already lots of work and I have many other projects to focus on. I can't wait to have this finally done.

Not having these caps today won't stop you from saving lives. Clearly.
BrainFlushDon't be disappointed I think there will be future opportunities for you to acquire these keycaps, that's a bit unclear to me still - I'm not sure if it will be via another drop (better structured next time) or what, but Massdrop is improving in some different and crucial fields (investing heavily in multiple departments) to ensure better communication, logistics and lead times.
@all - I apologize once again for not being able to have this project conclude already, waiting for so long sucks and I'm very much looking forward to see your concluded builds and keyboards. I hope the keycaps positively exceed the expectations you had upon joining the drop, your support is much appreciated.
bsastorNo need to apologize my friend, it's not your fault that delays took place and it's taking longer than expected for you to receive what you deserve and paid for. You deserve a good product and clear updates. Don't worry, I'm sure MD is doing their best right now to finally wrap this one up so you can finally enjoy the keycaps. MiToI would prefer to receive a product that has all the QA issues worked out even if it's shipped late, rather than have a product arrive quickly but be full of QA issues and look like crap. I am definitely looking forward to this kit. I have a Planck and a GH60 in mind for these caps. :-)
northrupNot arguing against you, in fact, I am wholeheartedly empathetic to your last statement. For the benefit of the group though, here are the facts:
1) Back in July, after showing signs of massive delay, MD announced that the new shipping date is 10/31.
2) Deadline to respond to MD's opt-in form is 10/26.
3) The tone of the latest "update" from @YanboWu and @MiTo are clearly different, and we have no way to tell who's how much correct (they could both be truthful to certain extent).
4) We purchased this product through MD, and @YanboWu is MD's employee, and the face of this drop.
Here are few more facts that's worth highlighting IMO:
1) We, as paying customers who made a purchasing decision based on the information provided by MD, are entitled to on-time delivery, (just because everything here is delayed, doesn't mean another delay is perfectly fine), products-to-spec, and reasonable level of customer service in good faith. Obviously, being entitled to something doesn't mean guaranteed to receive.
2) @YanboWu is just another MD employee, he will say shit that conforms to MD's direction/policies and act in MD's best interest, and doing so may conflict with what an isolated subset of customers desires. Also, @YanboWu will collect his paycheck regardless of whether he provides another update or not.
3) Even if @YanboWu is just simply withholding information due to reasons that can't be disclosed, customers of this drop have no recourse to seek remedy. We opted-in knowing that the new ship is 10/31 and whatever we are bitching about here is just petty/frivolous shit to be taken to court or has no grounds/merit.
I share your sentiment, but we are shit out of luck. If above bullets are flat out wrong, corrections are welcome, but no thanks to emotional fanboy vomit and non-sense such as "you don't know MD", "you don't get business", "you don't know manufacturing" bullshit, PLEASE.
