So I’m only recently learning about these replacement keycap sets. Can anyone, especially gamers or graphic designers, tell me what their favorite keyboards are that allow them to replace the keycaps. (Side note I was already looking at getting a Razer or Corsair RGB mechanical key board.)
theARK1T3CTI’m also a designer and gamer.

At the end of the day, you have to figure out if you want a 60%, TKL, full-size... Or maybe a 65%, even a 40%. It’s all personal preference.
MiTois it just me..? is that spacebar inverted/upside-down? if so, im curious as to how this became a comfortable position, or hell even what came to mind. -OR- am i just the weirdo with his spacebar on backwards? haha!

theARK1T3CTHey there dude! I gotta recommend you getting an electrostatic keyboard from Niz here or the Wooting One, they're pretty lowprice and fit XDA profiles really well! They also feature nkr, which allows you to type above 130wpm without having any unregistered key presses!
theARK1T3CTThe majority of mechanical keyboards are Cherry MX compatible, which means they have a cross-shaped stem that fits a huge variety of keycaps.
Notable exceptions are Topre, Matias and Logitech Romer G keyboards. With these you have a much smaller range of options for keycaps.
To my mind, the best of all are Cherry MX compatible keyboards which allow you to replace both the keycaps and the switches - such as the Massdrop ALT or the GMMK. Then you can play with over 100 different types of switches as well as many dozens of keycaps.
It's worth a bit of googling to learn about keycap profiles, materials and so on before going too wild. It can save you a lot of money.
