We’re back with another update on the XDA Canvas. We’ve completed quality control checks and will be fulfilling all orders, with the exception of the micon kits, during the week of December 7.
With the micon kits, we found an issue with the legend on the ALT key, and we are having those remade to accurately reflect the renders. We expect these to ship the week of December 17.
Due to the additional delay from our last estimate, we’ve credited everyone’s account with a $10 coupon, which will automatically apply to the next drop you join and expires on June 1, 2019.
We apologize again for the additional delay. It’s our goal to deliver the highest quality product, and we appreciate your patience as we get these completed and shipped out.
YanboWuI asked below, but could you speak to the lack of communication between the last post and this one?
I can't imagine you figured this all out today, and it's ridiculous that we all got our hopes up for tracking info and got that email instead.
NicktitleIn order to explain the situation a little better - the reason for the delay is because it was recently discovered that the ALT Micons keycaps were manufactured with flipped legends and I gave the order to get them remade. Although this is a minor issue that could go unnoticed, I don't think it would be honest to deliver a product different from what was advertised since I could act on it, so here we are. I can't speak for the communication, however, since it wasn't clear, even to myself, to what extent the delay would exist, if at all.
It is frustrating to be left in the dark and I empathize with you. I feel ashamed and embarrassed to ask for patience for the second time straight, due to another delay, for someone who whole heartedly decided to invest his/her hard earned money into a project for a product, and was let down in a previous occasion - when we failed to ship in the 1st predicted date. But this is all I can do at the moment other than suggesting you to request a refund in case this is a complete deal breaker. Again I am sorry for this issue and I hope you understand. If there's anything I can do, please let me know.

when you gave the call to have them remake these caps, a short update explaining the chance of the date slipping would have been awesome.
I still love your work and am looking forward to my package - just knowing about events like this ahead of time would make all the difference in the world!
YanboWuAny chance we could waive that $10 and roll it into express shipping? I’d rather have you make up for this extra delay with expedited shipping than $10 towards another drop.
fattmitchshipping for me is like 7-10 days (Arizona). Pretty crazy. I'd like to have regular UPS/Fedex/USPS shipping, not the crappy one MD always uses.
OldCatYeah smartpost is crazy slow. SA Carbon was only drop that shipped normal Fedex. You would think $10 shipping enough to cover the cost of normal Fedex.
YanboWuSince this didn't ship the week of 12/7, it sounds like there's been an additional delay of some kind. Could you please update us on what the new delay is, and when we can now expect this to ship?
MiToI do understand what you say, but problem is that delays are getting extended more and more... the pinned post says everything should be shipped by today, which is simply not true because my item is not... Personally, this attitude pisses me off more than the fact that there was some delay...
