Anyway, I thought I'd also post the vanity shots I took of my keyset before I had any issues too ^^

This is on a Vortex Race 3 keyboard, I forget exactly which sets I bought but uh. I do remember asking earlier in this drop so I guess you could search this thread for mention of that keyboard. I really love this set, the deep dish homing keys are really deep dish, and the texturing feels great. Really pleased with it.

dolljointsi emailed support about my broken 7 alphanumeric key (see my other post in this thread) quite a few days ago.. i thought i'd finally received a reply today but it's just another "please be patient" message..
i must admit i'm starting to get anxiety that i'll be told they don't have any replacement parts by the time they get to me. :(
has anyone else got experiences waiting upwards of a week for support and still getting what they needed? it would help calm my nerves a lot.

dolljointsI had the same issue. Opened a ticket and they sent me out a new one... which promptly did the same thing. It felt VERY wobbly once it was on (finger could roll off the side of the key) and I wanted to make sure I hadn't damaged the stem of the switch when I took the previous 7 alphanumeric off. Went to take the new one off and it left its mount behind again. It doesn't look like the mount was even properly adhered cap before I had even put it on the switch, hence why it rolled around while I was typing on it.
When you get your replacement be very careful with it. Must be a manufacturing flaw. Also yes, my replacement took a couple weeks to arrive

I think that I'm just going to epoxy the mount back on to the cap...

MiToNope, just plain 'ol blues.
Plus the cap I've been using in its place has come on and off fine quite a few times
you can see though on the image I posted that the mount barely had anywhere to tear from the cap. the only place it seemed to be joined properly was along the black plastic segment, but the cyan offered very little help.

SutekhxaosHm, yeah, it broke in the same way.. though mine was also brown in that spot. Whatever went wrong to do this could have been a temporary error in the process that occurred during part of the alpha-7 run. At least I'm not opposed to using numpad-7 if I have to. While I probably will chase up replacements if this happens again, if I have to remove the keycap to tell, who knows how long it will be when that happens. There could be no more replacements left if it happens in a year or something. Though I'm currently using the Galaxy-class keyset from SP right now, so I'm not really missing the key anyway. I must say, every key-stem on those caps had the exact same tightness, while the Legacy keys were quite variable. After the 7, I was worried the other tighter keys (~20%) would do it too. Thankfully they didn't! The keys my keyboard came with also had variable grip, so Galaxy-class was a pleasant surprise.

dolljointsOK, so, my replacement cap arrived a few weeks (maybe a bit over a month now?) ago, and I notice that it's from Signature Plastics, unlike the rest of the set. I do wonder if their extra expertise was needed to eliminate whatever was making this a recurring issue. The key looks identical to the original one, but the tightness of the grip on the switch stem isn't tight at all, very like my other SP caps instead. Very pleased by it! I've since made this keycap set be my keyboard's everyday for the next while.
