*Help* Screw in stabilizers not fitting in Dropshift V2 keyboard
I'm trying to build a mechanical keyboard with screw in stabilizers, I've build some mechanical keyboards with click-in stabilizers, never with screw in. Somehow one of the pins of the metal top-part collides with the screw in stabilizer of the numpad "enter key". I already tried grinding of a bit of the pin that collides with the stabilizer, but unfortunately I can't make it fit/close properly. You can see that the pin of the toppart leaves a mark on the bottompart of the stabilizer, see picture 2. What am I missing? Using Durock V2 in a Dropshift fullsize V2. See pictures below, thanks in advance!

When I said mito creeps me out what I meant was, we are selling hype and in the end the product isn't any more unique than any other organization can produce. I was turned off by this color scheme, but more than that, the reaction of the community to an absolute puke of a system. We are creating a market of scarcity and the people who generate the hype are profiting hand over fist.
Do we have any understanding of the suppliers? Who is doing the machining for the housing? Where are the PCBs being assembled? Are you using fair trade labor and are you supporting American or European labor? Are you jobbing this out to a cheap Chinese board house and a cheap Chinese aluminum supplier?
What is the return on investment on an artisan keeb with pretty colors? Currently there is no market value... I have seen rare builds go for 1k on mechmarket... the keyboard has maybe 30 dollars worth of hardware cost.
We don't see massdrop itemize the cost of their assemblies, nor do we see the consumers ever demand anything regarding a supplier report. Only on small artisan made knifes will you get a documentation of the supplier, as the people purchasing blades care about where their steel comes from.
Again, if you have the attention span to read. This hype is fucking you guys, this color scheme is trash and they are producing these things using the cheapest suppliers possible while charging you the highest possible cost. The model itself takes the principals of lean manufacturing and applies it to the consumer.
The customer gets all the benefits of a unique item, while massdrop reaps all the benefits of removing any customer service costs or costs associated with carrying inventory.
In the old days we would get unique product (before walmart killed creativity) and now we have massdrop, where we trade customer service and the right to purchase product at will for the chance to get a unique drop direct from the manufacturer.
After spending time on the site though, I do not see the cost savings. Somebody is scraping profit from this gig and I assume massdrop is not running this for free service. Consequently, we get censored when we speak out, we get ignored when we ask for help, and when a good product is actually in demand, it is used against us to sell us more shit in between the hype.
If massdrop actually carried the stock that was in demand or ran regular on popular items at good cost you would satisfy all your customers and we wouldn't come back hunting for more trash to binge on before we satisfy our end game keeb quest. It is an amazing business model that is the ultimate manifestation of the capitalist spirit... but for fucks sake, when I say "mito creeps me out" don't get your panties in a bunch.
TL;DR Massdrop is making retail margins but not carrying any inventory or providing any customer service. Mito, this color scheme is a mess and people cant look through their hype to see your profiteering.
In 10 years keycaps will be just like any other consumer product and mito will have profited greatly on injection molded nonsense.
But I'm not here to stop him, just speaking my mind after being fed up with the community hype.
if you think you are capable then try it. there is "profit" right? so it would worth your time.
Anybody can make a keyset, but if you want to do it perfect, it takes a lot of work.
I can assure you that all the guys that I have met, some of them I was lucky enough to meet in person, that have done any project take a lot of care for this and they work they ass for these projects. People like Oblotzky, Mito, T0mbery, Livingspeedbump, Novelkeys, Matt3o, Rama, Wilba or Tokyocoffeenerd to name a few.
The effort it takes gets rewarded, of course, but needless to say it's a lot of work.
This drop might look effortless to you, but behind the scenes there's lots and lots of work and a lot of previous work that gets unnoticed. Mito gets the recognition and Massdrop's trust based on his work ethic and this wouldn't be possible with PuLSE R2, Godspeed, Overcast, Sci-Fi, 3Run, Canvas, and XDA Godspeed.
Doesn't mean much to me, this is still a hype train and mito delivers pictures of food with some neat looking plastic.
You can try to get your butt stuffed by the Andy Warhol of keebs, but I'll stick with the community and stay away from the super star dick sucking...
But to each his own, the fact you are so defensive is a representation of my point. I know, purple is a really cool color and Mito is the only boy for you!
You spent a lot of time on my Facebook, this is all public information. If you want to assault a guy because you disagree, have at it.
As you said, public information, as is what you've written here about Mito (could've been about anyone else).
Thank God we have warriors like you to search Facebook. The hero we all need but don't ask for.
It's just the ole classic - don't throw stones with a glass roof; you're calling someone a pedo publicly for no reason in what is arguably their place of "work" (figuratively). What's the difference between that and me calling your place of employment and making them aware of your less than professional behaviour in an environment you deem irrelevant?
They will be extraordinarily confused and we will laugh about it for years to come.
I could hypothetically say you're clearly overcompensating by acting big on the internet because the reality is you're 5 foot 130 but I'd never resort to personal attacks even if that were my "opinion" because that's just not how you treat people no matter where you are or what the situation is - even when they were incredibly rude to begin with (which Mito was not, anyone can report your comment and have it removed if the mods deem it so).
PS: laying the exchange to rest here, point has been made.
If what I have done counts as slander then every news outlet in America is at risk.
Dissent /dəˈsent/ noun: dissent 1. the expression or holding of opinions at variance with those previously, commonly, or officially held.
I am sorry the community doesn't share my sentiment.
Mito creeps me out
Censoring my comment makes me think worse of the situation
The community is very fan boy oriented
These statements shouldn't be hard to handle as every community is full of both people like you and people like me.
I am not complaining about the resistance to my comments; however I don't think my statements have warrented the threatening language aimed at me in this thread.
But to each his own.
Sure the company has a right to censor, but they don't. Go through the threads to find all the negative comments about massdrop.
My comment said "tbh mito creeps me out" and it was censored. Come the fuck on.
Massdrop has no obligation to censor free speech, but I understand if they do, as it is their right.
