Not sure if it's popped up in another comment yet (hard to filter through these Massdrop discussions) but ...
Stepped caps lock has the stem in the center, it's not offset to the left of the key. I only have SA sets aside from this XDA set, but all of the stepped caps locks in my other sets are all aligned to the left of the key. I'm going to have to disassemble, de-solder and re-solder my left-aligned capslock switch if I want to use the stepped caps (which I do) ..... but .....
The real kicker is that with the stem centered, there's not even enough room for the cap to be pushed down ... the step hits the switch. Bummer.

m0rgtr0nI understand the frustration, for this you’d need a Tsangan kit! Read the descriptions, this kit includes the one you needed! Always important to read the information and making sure you have the correct keycaps.

MiToThanks pal! I think I just assumed that the stepped caps lock always had the offset stem, just because of my previous experience with SA sets! Fortunately I'm putting together a new board tonight specifically for this set, so it was only a minor set back.
And now I know for next time!

MiTo...The stepped *control* in my apollo tsangan kit is center-stem, though, and at least my base kit (not tsangan) came with *two* stepped caps, one off-center and one center-stem.
