Maybe I'm not that knowledgeable about jeans but I'm perplex why you'd want jeans that are designed to fade. This sounds like marketing spin on a flawed process. IMO I'd pay for a nice pair thats durable.

Chairman_WangHow a pair of jeans fades does not speak to its durability. The best way to think of a jean's fade is like a patina that adds character and develops with use making it unique to that wearer.

RashkhEh this is somewhat of a nitpick but patina is generated by the first few atoms of metal oxidizing, it has no discernible impact on the structural integrity of the metal. Raw Denim fades through wear, the act of it fading doesn't result in more wear relative to other 100% cotton jeans, but fades come as a result of the wear.
If @Chairman_Wang wants the most durable jeans possible, there are a few companies making jeans from kevlar and cordura denim blends.
As you said, Raw Denim is about the character, creating a unique aesthetic for yourself that nobody can buy for any amount of money.
