update: moving to 4 stars. I decided to ignore the raw-ness and just give a pre-wear pre-shrinking wash, I washed cold + medium dry. This brought the inseam in ~1.5" and to a level that is enough for me to wear without having to cuff (but still long enough to do about a 3/4" cuff if I desire). The waist didn't shrink any, although I wouldn't have minded a slight shrinkage of the 31 (still fits true to typical American 31's).
Beyond this, I'm wearing w/o washing anymore to see how it turns out. I generally like these jeans now.
original: I hate that I have to go hem them up myself. Otherwise, they fit true to American sizes (e.g. Levi's). I wear a W31 in Levi's and these fit about the same, having purchased a 31. In terms of leg fit, they seem to be somewhere between a 501 and 505.
edit: followup after ~5 months. the original hemming stitch is coming loose, I'm a bit disappointed. Not wearing in as nicely (in terms of fade/creases) as I would like yet, usually wear them ~40hours/week and washed twice thus far (whoops, can't stay that clean). gonna keep at it. Will need to find a tailor to fix the hem stitch since it's a poor machine quality stitch, one of those that once a loose end pops out, it'll completely unravel.
pfn0I wish I'd read this before buying. I used their size chart and thought "Well its says the 32 has a 34" waist, so I guess I should be good at 32." WRONG! All I have now is an incredible muffin top and pants way up my butt. I'm a dummy.
