Updated March 12:
Hi Everyone - Quick update on the fulfillment status. As of this morning about 80% of the IEMs are delivered.
Updated March 8:
We have an update for those of you affected by the delayed tracking:
We just heard back from USPS regarding the delayed tracking issue. They have confirmed that the packages are now leaving Santa Barbara and on their way to various sorting facilities. USPS explained the the items were scanned at the Santa Barbara facility, and a hiccup in their system caused them to not move beyond that point.
Many of you should have seen movement from Santa Barbara today (though International orders may take a bit longer). If you do not see any movement in the next few days please reach out to our community support team or to USPS directly, as they have the most accurate and up-to-date information.
We apologize for this shipping delay, and we hear all your feedback on the shipping method and the overall lack of communication. We are definitely working on improving this process and we are working with Noble to improve this shipping method on future drops.
Updated March 8:
Hi Everyone - Thank you all for bringing the USPS shipping delay to our attention. We have already been looking into this, and our head of logistics has been in touch with USPS and Noble. We see there has been some movement on tracking links. Apologies for not communicating this earlier to the impacted group (about 60 of the 150 in this batch were held up ominously by USPS).
I know this delay is very frustrating. As I mentioned, our team, as well as Noble’s, is looking into this and we will let everyone know as soon as we have more information.
Updated February 23:
Just checking in to let everyone know that production is wrapping up for the second batch of IEMs. Noble has informed us that they are on track to ship on February 28.
Thank you to everyone for their patience with this drop. We are looking forward to you all receiving the first production of the Massdrop x Noble Kaiser 10 Universal IEMs.
Updated February 9:
Hi Everyone,
We have a quick update on the second batch of the Massdrop x Noble Kaiser 10 Universal IEMs. Noble has informed us that production is still in progress for this batch, and we’re on track to ship the IEMs at the end of February.
We’ll provide an update on February 23 with the shipping status.
Updated February 2:
We want to quickly clarify the confusion around coupons. The coupons were issued only to members whose IEMs were delayed until February 28. We’ve clarified this with Brannan, and we all apologize for the confusion.
If you have any questions about which group you are in, please reach out to community support via your transactions page: https://www.massdrop.com/transactions
Updated January 26:
Hi Everyone,
We have an update on the Massdrop x Noble Kaiser 10 Universal IEMs. Noble has informed us that about half of the units will start shipping to members next week, and unfortunately the other half is still in the final stages of production. The wildfire and mudslide natural disasters in Santa Barbara (where Noble is located) have made it extremely difficult for Noble to receive the necessary parts and finish production work on a predictable schedule. Noble estimates that this batch will be ready to ship to members on February 28.
We will be delivering finished units based on when members joined the drop, and we've emailed all drop participants letting you know which batch you are in. For those you in the batch with the additional delay, we have worked with Noble to add a $40 coupon to your account. This coupon will be automatically applied to the next drop you join. Additionally, for those of you in the delayed group, Noble will include their new Gold x Silver cable in appreciation of everyone's patience and support.
We apologize for this delay on the later batch, and we know it is extremely disappointing for everyone involved. Noble is doing everything they can to get these IEMs finished, and we are coordinating with them to ship the units as soon as possible. If you don’t want to wait the additional time, you can cancel your order via the transactions page: https://www.massdrop.com/transactions We’ll have an update on February 9 with the status of the second batch.
attilahunThis is purely conjecture on my part, but if you received the email mentioning the $40 credit, you’re likely in the second batch. Just as I am.
AveryCI've reached out to customer service - and they copied and pasted what looks like an email for the people who were in February 28th batch. (I did not get an email however). Like some here, I also set my alarm clock early enough to join on the drop - and did receive a confirmation email by 6:01 AM PST. So unless the first half (of the said batch) was able to commit to the drop within the first minute of it becoming available, I'm unsure as to why I got put in the Feb 28 batch - only because according to the update, "We will be delivering finished units based on when members joined the drop." Can you shed some light on this?
dangyooThis seems more and more suspicious. More than half the people who originally committed have dropped out, we got an update 12 weeks ago that they were going to meet their ship date, then we get an update at the beginning of December that there might be a slight delay, now a week before the promised significantly delayed ship date we're told that half of them are going to be delayed another month. I'm replacing my K10 custom fit as I've been having issues with them and am getting tired of waiting. There is nothing on the nobleaudio.com site stating that they've got any problems and they have all of their universal fit IEMS in stock save the Kaiser Encores which are listed as backordered 2-3 weeks. The lack of any update from Brannan or someone from Noble is just really bad customer service.
AveryCThanks for the update, Avery!
Over the past couple of months, Noble’s small home of Santa Barbara has been subject to the worst wildfire in California state history prompting multiple evacuations and (since the last update) mudslides that turned the 101 freeway into a swamp overnight resulting in a two week closure. In effort to support our local community, many of our critical components are manufactured locally and throughout Southern California. To say the natural disasters have affected our suppliers and our operations would be a gross understatement.
Despite all that’s happened, we are happy to report that a great deal of you will see tracking go live for your orders by this Wednesday, January 31st.
All orders shipping in February will include our new Noble Gold x Silver cable ($300 value) free of charge in appreciation of everyone's patience and support. This was decided prior to the latest update and it should have been mentioned in the update above.
If anyone would like to reach out to me personally for any reason I can be reached directly at brannan@nobleaudio.com.
Otherwise, we are looking forward to hearing from everyone about their experiences with their Kaiser 10.
Best,
Brannan
Noble Audio
vCTONoble has manufacturing facilities in 5 different countries, what happens at one facility doesn't necessarily impact what happens at another, which is why, Noble has inventory on other products.
No mention of the k10 is made on the website as the k10 is only available through massdrop. If there were any updates to be made, they would be made here.
bangkokkidHi Brannan,
That's a terrific way to address the delay--we appreciate your generosity.
This feels like a dumb question, but is this new cable available in a 2.5mm balanced termination? Some of us opted for a balanced cable, which seems less alluring with the newer cable in the mix. I guess I understand if not (I only see a 3.5mm version on your website), but it would be much appreciated if there was somehow an option.
Thank you for staying communicative throughout the drop, and I wish you and your community well in these hard times.
HefeGiven that we've already seen the shells as produced via the November update they're either waiting on wiring or balanced armatures. Do you think they're using different BAs for this batch of K10 than any other product they make? Noble consumes components from different manufacturing facilities in 5 different countries but I doubt they own their full supply chain. The reason I brought up the website is that there's no mention of catastrophic interruption to their supply chain there and they appear to have the BAs for all their other products. I just said it was strange. I also think its strange that so many of us don't appear to have gotten an email from Massdrop relating which shipment batch we are in and that those of us who joined within the first hour haven't gotten notified. Just observations born out of frustration. I don't begrudge the cost, or the delay, it's the lack of communication and incomplete/inconsistent story that's annoying me.
HefeAhhh, well Dr. John, or Wizard, whichever you prefer, I appreciate you weighing in here. Just wish it was a bit more clear that you are the Hefe of Noble Audio as opposed to some random internet troll. I am sure it is difficult conducting business like this for such a significant number of orders through an intermediary like Massdrop, and I appreciate the opportunity for the discount that comes with the leverage associated with such a large purchase. I just hope moving forward Massdrop and their suppliers find a more transparent way of communicating issues and ensuring that everyone in the drop gets communicated to in a timely way rather than the seeming random spray of emails that appears to be taking place.
vCTOAs you pointed out, all other Noble products seem to be in inventory except for the Encore and the K10, and both products have fully cnc housings produced by the same supplier.
If all other products are available, then assumption could be made that drivers are not the hold up
vCTOI'm not a troll I am the Hefe (spelled wrong) the Wizard name was already taken.
Any how, this situation is rather tenuous, as this is ultimately Massdrops territory, and we can not speak for Massdrop. Doing so could potentially harm our relationship with massdrop.
But i will submit this again, we are taking measures to move product as fast as possible and to insure this doesn't happen again. We are also taking compensatory measures as well.
HefeWell I certainly appreciate it and will continue to be a Noble Audio evangelist. To be honest I've had my finger hovering over the "Add to Cart" button on the Katana, the K10s are just too good a deal, so worth the wait.
vCTOId pm u if I could or if I knew how. But the reality is we have no ill intent to harm anyone or to make an unhonest dollar, or to tarnish our reputation.
I've lost a lot of sleep over this transaction, while I do not regret engaging with massdrop in this project, I do regret the delays.
The thing is, it really has boiled down to a supplier issue based in California. They do excellent work, but they are small boutique operation, much like Noble is. Due to their size any issue quickly becomes a large problem. Larger shops commonly have a cnc machine on stand by and can be used for overflow... A boutique shop doesn't have such a luxury.
Initially. I thought Knowles was going to be the slowest supplier as they typically do slow down the last quarter of the year, but due to a series of unforseen events it turned out to be a supplier in California.
All drivers are in, components are soldered, wire harnesses are ready, assembly team is ready just waiting on California. As parts come in we will assemble and ship asap.
bangkokkidI know that the second batch have to wait for a month more to receive their K10, but the first batch have also waited for two months delay. The second batch have to wait three month to get $300 + $40 for 3 months delay apologies and nothing for the first batch which have 2 months delay. Why don't just give the cable to all drops including the first batch?
Johnny_CAgree, understand this will incure additional cost for noble. But if there is any consolation dor the first batch, it will be greatly appreciated. This is long odds, but I'm hoping anyway. Thank you for the update
Stranger8Agree. This will make up for the disappointment of a missed holiday gift for loved one or self, and a gracious gesture to all those who stayed with the drop through all these delays. I also feel the difference in treatment to be too big that it overly compensates the 2nd batch at the expense of the 1st batch, when we all have waited for so long that an extra month is nothing significant anymore.
travelfotograferThe first batch receivers also waited 2 extra months. I honestly would rather receive the extra cable and voucher if it only entailed another month wait. The first batch receiver's aren't getting any compensation, whereas the extra $300 + $40 is offered for just another month on top of an extra two? Ridiculous
bangkokkidIs there anyway we can volunteer to be in the second group to get that cable? I would definitely wait an extra month to get $340 of extras. I have already waited a long time anyways.
AveryCThanks for the update and I hope everyone at Noble that was impacted by the natural disasters are unharmed and doing well.
One question: will the shipping for the first batch this week come from Noble in CA or from Massdrop (which I think ships out of NJ)?
AveryCJust to clarify, if I received an email that didn't explicitly say I was in the first group, is it safe to assume that I am in the second group? Because I received and email explaining the delay and having a $40 coupon added to my account as compensation but it didn't mention exactly which group I was in. Thanks!
AveryCHello @AveryC, I hope you are doing well! Thank you for your continued updates, and I appreciate everything you and Massdrop do. That being said, if it is at all possible, I would really like to be placed in the second group so that I can get the extra $340 worth of goodies. I haven't received any type of email as of yet, and I am hoping that it's not too late, but I would greatly appreciate it and consider myself forever indebted to you if you could let me know what will happen when you can. Thank you very much, and enjoy your week.
Sincerely,
the Nutty Physicist
AveryCYou updated your announcement with "Additionally, Noble will include their new Gold x Silver cable in appreciation of everyone's patience and support."
Does "everyone" refers to every person in this drop, or refers only to every person in the 2nd batch? Since every person in this drop has shown patience and support, does this mean every person in this drop will get the Gold x Silver cable? Seems weird to me if "everyone" in the above statement refers only to those in the 2nd batch, since that will mean those in the 1st batch have not shown patience and support.
travelfotograferI have sent Brannan a personal email voicing this very concern. Others may disagree, but to me it seems inequitable for one group to receive $340 worth of swag and the other zilch.
Modus_PwnensThere really isn't anything in that paragraph stating that ALL participants Won't get this cable upgrade.
To me it seems like this would make things harder for them, figuring out who needs the new cable and who doesn't.
But, I'd like to see what Brannan says about it for clarification.
ALL participants have been waiting longer than what was promised.
I do appreciate these more detailed updates, however.
AveryCHas anyone seen their tracking go live? I think I'm in the first group but haven't seen any updates and it's the end of the business day on the 31st. Thanks.
MadDadI just got alerted, about 8:02 est, that my package has shipped and a tracking number was provided, “expected delivery Saturday February 3rd.” Given that the bosses have not responded to any of you on the cable, I’m going to assume I’m not getting one.
AveryCHi Avery, I received an email about being in second batch and yet I got alerted that my shipping is live? Mind clarifying what is going on here? I'd rather be on the original batch that i'm supposed to be in (second batch) given the situation now.
Thanks in advance!
happyguy19Strange... I was probably the fifth or so person to join the drop and got the email suggesting I'd be in the first batch but have yet to receive a tracking number and the day is nearly over.
Don't mind waiting if I have to, though I was excited to finally be able to experience them this weekend.
VangeliDitto.
I have my tracking number only because USPS tells me anytime there's a tracking number created for my address. One was created originating from Santa Barbara on 1/22, but it's been in pre-shipment status since, meaning they have yet to receive a package.
I smell something not right.
AveryCHi AveryC, I received an email from Massdrop on 1/26 indicating that Noble confirmed with you that I'll be on the first drop. However, I have yet to receive a shipment notification. Can you confirm which drop I'm in?
VangeliI was in the first batch of the drop also, was frustrating when I got that email on being in the later batch of the shipment. Tbh I couldn't care less on how much more they are going to delay given it's extremely far off the original promised date.
But now that it has come to this, I'd rather claim my right on being late (as ironic as this sounds) as compared to having my package shipped early in all this mess.
AveryCThank you @AveryC, I really appreciate the quick reply. It's really weird and random that only some people have not been getting emails. I am happy to wait given the rewards!
fringe_spiritIt's actually pretty clear in Brannan's reply (above):
All orders shipping in February will include our new Noble Gold x Silver cable ($300 value) free of charge in appreciation of everyone's patience and support. This was decided prior to the latest update and it should have been mentioned in the update above.
AveryCHappy that I got my tracking info confirming these are on their way to me, but gutted that it appears that those of us that jumped on this the second it went live won’t be getting the cable... Anyways, I’m off to clean this shitty taste out of my mouth...
AveryCMay I have clarification to which group I'm in? I received the email suggesting I'm in the first group but no tracking information is live yet.
With my last drop I wasn't given the tracking notification or number until the day AFTER it arrived by surprise. Packages are stolen often in my area and I'd rather that not happen again so I want clarification, especially for these.
AveryCI just received an email from Brannan. Nice chap. He indicated that only those Kaiser's shipped in the second batch will receive the Gold x Silver cable, but that, as he understands it, everyone in the drop should be receiving a $40 coupon from Massdrop. Perhaps AveryC can confirm this.
Modus_PwnensI'm in the first batch and I'd actually be pretty happy with this. Everyone gets $40 to make up for the delay, and the people in the second batch that have to wait a month longer get the extra cable. It makes sense. Everyone's order was delayed, so everyone gets compensated. The people that have to wait even longer get extra compensation. (Even though a $300 dollar cable is a bit excessive lol)
VangeliI'm in a similar situation as you whereby I received the email that says on track to be shipped by 31 Jan but received no tracking information, still. Can @AveryC help to clarify pls?
travelfotograferFeel really bad about this drop because they add extra quota to the drops, and those extra drops can get extra cables than those who set an alarm to join like me.
Johnny_CNoble and Massdrop are taking a hit to their profits by giving $40 credits and free $300 cables. These expenses should have reaped them the gratitude and good feelings from all the buyers. Instead, now early supporters (the most ardent fans) get pissed. More careful thinking about how to appropriately allocate the compensation expenses would have achieved much better near and long-term business outcomes.
A good (what-not-to-do) business case study.
travelfotograferExactly my sentiments. Guys from first batch like Johnny and I are worse off despite supporting them early on. I recalled that the first batch was gone in less than 20 hours.
I'd say I learned my lesson this time, 2 months or 3 months delay doesn't make much difference at this point since they missed both Christmas and new year anyway.
travelfotograferAgreed... a lot of pandering to the late-comers here. I set an alarm for the initial drop, but those who (quite literally) snoozed on the initial drop got an additional drop opportunity. Now there is compensation for delays in the form of a cable I’d give my left nut for. Im a big fan of both Massdrop and Noble, but this has just been a cluster f@&$.
Oh well... hopefully some lessons learnt.
NigzThe funny thing is... OK second batch folks are going to hate me... imagine if 1st batch gets $40 credit and 2nd batch gets $80 credit. I bet 2nd batch folks are going to be as delighted, and 1st batch folks will not feel shortchanged! Everyone is happy and total compensation expenses are lower!
Yes, $300 cable + $40 credit is way better than $80 credit, but now you have half the folks pissed off and the other half (marginally) happier.
Modus_PwnensI am sure Noble and Massdrop will make this right. I don't see any way that they would give the late comers $340 of extras only to short change us who joined the drop on time. I am sure everyone will receive the cable.
faithguy19I personally don't care about a cable that has a 10,000% markup and produce no difference. Do people honestly believe that any company would casually throw in a $300 product if its COGS is anywhere close to that? Come on guys. #audiophilecables
junkiIt's not about the quality or cost of the cables anymore at this point. We supported them early on and we ended up arguably on the shorter end.
Some folks will disagree with me for sure but they're not doing it right. I'd rather not go any further since it may invoke arguments that are off the original point and another pointless slap fight.
faithguy19I agree with faithguy19. Cooler heads will prevail. I would like to think that AveryC's silence is a sign that deliberations are underway. At this point, I simply want a definitive ruling. It was Brannan's understanding that all in the drop would receive a $40 coupon. According to AveryC's post, however, coupons would be added only to those customers' accounts receiving late-Feb shipments. So which is it? Clearly, there was miscommunication somewhere. Hopefully, AveryC can clear up this confusion shortly.
AveryCWell darn, even though I was probably the fifth person to join the drop and received the email that mine would be shipping out by the 31st, just got a second support email that reads like I'm in the second batch.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND I just got an update saying that mine did in fact ship out but possibly won't have a tracking number for a few days. I'm ...exhausted. This is what I initially feared. I hope I'm there whenever it's delivered and hope this trend doesn't continue with drops in the future.
travelfotograferUnderstanding your concern, it’s neither Massdrop nor Nobles fault. Natural disasters happen. It’s a custom made boutique item. You have to expect a longer wait time. Being a huge fan of both Massdrop and Noble I wasn’t pleased having to wait longer but don’t mind the wait for amazing IEM’s. I do understand from business experience this isn’t abnormal to have extra long wait times/extensions on completion dates. It’s an unbelievable price for an end game IEM. It will be well worth the wait.
Appreciate the hard work and great deal on this drop. Thanks to Noble Audio for the hard work and extras. Thanks to Massdrop for the credit and working with the best, Noble Audio. And other great companies
bangkokkidNoble Audio does great work. Excellent customer service. Thanks, Brannan and The Wizard
After I purchased the Noble 6 I was sold on the Noble Audio sound. Can’t wait to hear the buttery goodness of these Kaiser 10. Thanks again. To anyone that hasn’t received their order know it will be well worth the extra time.
Lostdog54We are not talking about the cause of the delay, or that a delay happened.
We are just very perplexed why the 2nd batch gets a $40 credit and a $300 cable. Very lopsided in my opinion. So much that some (including myself) in the first batch volunteered to be in the second batch. For this to happen, clearly something is not balanced. I am sure many must had scratched their heads thinking isn't the compensation lopsided and excessive?
Perhaps there was a misscommunication: Noble thought everyone is getting a $40 credit and so decided to add a $300 cable for the 2nd batch for the extra delay. Massdrop didn't know about the cable and intended to give the $40 credit only to 2nd batch for the extra delay. When this mistake was realised, it was too late because words had already been spoken and the cable cannot be "taken back" even though the 2nd batch now gets $40 and cable. This is just my guess; I cannot help wondering what lead to such decisions.
Regardless, I am going to forget about this and not comment on this anymore.
bangkokkidHi Brannan,
I sent you an email and posted below with some concerns with my order I picked up today. My cable arrived defective and I think I had some missing items. Would love if you could reach out to me when you have a chance to review. thanks.
VangeliI have the same problem. Massdrop contacted me first about it. They don't know what happened to the tracking for some orders it seems. Been waiting days for an update on my shipping. I got the 40 dollars as compensation. Seems it was just applied to a drop i went in on yesterday.
JonnymooshooHey, just wondering if you (or anyone else who's received their K10s) could tell me what delivery provider they chose to use and if it was sent from Noble's office or Massdrop? Thanks in advance! I just needed to know if I should change my shipping address to my work instead of a parcel locker in Aus that only some providers can ship to... or hopefully @bangkokkid could chime in with some info (for the second batch)?
adi.kd@mushroomsensei Hi there - We have provided Noble with all the shipping labels and as soon as they are picked up by the couriers you will receive an email with tracking information.
turbodieselvwGot mine last night. I’m sure you will get your tracking number soon. And Massdrop usually will update on a big drop after all items purchased have been shipped. If that update comes today and you still haven’t received your tracking info I would contact MD. I got word from MD all shipping labels had been delivered to Noble from MD already and when your order gets picked up by USPS from Noble you will get notified. I got my notification mid afternoon yesterday. I’d bet today around 2 to 4 pacific today you will get the email
AveryCWhy no one updates us on the status of the shipping of our orders. It is 3rd of March. A lot of us are still waiting for shipping to happen. This is not what we were told.
Xatiiv@Sreekanth@turbodieselvw Hi there - it looks like a handful of orders are still waiting to be shipped and we are following up with Noble on the status. I'll have an update for you in a few days. Apologies for the delay!
Lostdog54Like some others, my shipment seems frozen since the 3rd. No new updates on USPS and never gave any specifics to where it was. Strange. I agree it’s possible they never shipped. Shipping labels were made but never actually shipped. Or, possibly returned to sender for some reason.
superfouMine hasn't actually. So supposedly it was supposed to have arrived on March 3rd. And I don't live that far from the manufacturing headquarters of Noble. But at the moment my tracking just says delayed and that the projected date is still March 3rd. I don't know if this is on USPS or on Noble but I seriously would like my $900 dollar purchase.
AveryCHi Avery,
I'm affected by this as well. Has their been some kind of delay at the post office in Santa Barbara? There seems to be a gap somewhere between Noble, USPS, and Massdrop
Exactly. Same here. USPS has to know that if they give us four consecutive updates and then stop and go silent, we're gonna get squirrelly. That's not how you track packages.
Wait wait wait Massdrop told you to contact USPS? So you're telling me that USPS somehow screwed up EVERY SINGLE order where we are all frozen on March 3rd??? This is some ridiculous stuff happening right now.
Same here. My shipping address is in Paris, France. My best guess is that this is a Patsy to buy more time? Anyone working in logistics care to tell us if a hold order on such a large amount of shipments is possible?
DovahkiinMine looks exactly like this. My shipping address in Hong Kong.
Meanwhile my friend, who is also from Hong Kong, got it already.
His tracking looks entirely different (see attached) - his actually arrives at the Santa Barbara distribution center on Feb 28, and then reaches LA on Mar 1. I'm OK if they told us we had to wait longer or there's another delay, but I want to know the truck holding our units didn't go MIA on its way to the first checkpoint...
Sent a support ticket and Massdrop just asks me to wait 6 weeks first before asking them....... really, thats the way you treat us after this delay and for such a big ticket size item?
ScimoSome of us didn't even have it shipped yet. This seems as a shady stalling technique. Noble should come out with an official statement on this issue.
XatiivWhile I refuse to give USPS, Massdrop, or Noble the benefit of the doubt at this point, I would be curious to see if someone decides to claim that weather was the problem again. News articles seem to point to there having been a storm around Santa Barbara around the shipping time last week... but of course given some have received theirs already this would have no credibility.
XatiivThanks for sharing the info Xatiiv. At this point all I want to say is "whatever" as long as I get the product or refund. I was ok with the previous delays but now it's getting annoying.
ScimoHave you guys seen the update from @Sloblo?
He's claiming they refunded him with no explanation after the "USPS fiasco." If the end result of this whole incident is a bunch of lost time with no explanation or compensation I'm going to go from annoyed to seriously upset.
pawpro2But if Noble is confirming these units were indeed finished and shipped, I think either Noble or Massdrop, whoever actually gets returned the unit, should be happy to still sell us the item?
No use holding a headphone as unsold inventory....
I'd even be happy to cover the shipping cost needed.... I didn't wait this long just to get a refund now... Clearly we who are still in the drop really want the headphone!
mjryderIt's also interesting to note that each package was scanned into the system at exactly 4.16pm as well. I just want it to arrive before I go away and risk it being sent back. :(
AveryCAveryC, I received a message from Robert with my tracking number a few days ago. The problem is, the tracking info still shows that it is in pre-shipping process. That means it hasn't been picked up and shipped yet. This is not acceptable. I am in Canada and it will take at least 2 to 3 weeks to get here. I leave for vacation in a few weeks so if it isn't delivered by the time I leave for vacation, it will be lost in the system as no one will be available and authorized to pick any packages up for me. Please get this fixed ASAP!!!
OhhMyRiceThat's exactly how mine looks too...now I'm really starting to worry that we're all in the same boat. I think I speak for all of when I say I just want my headphones. The Noble K10's are, like, my dream headphones. Please let them get to me somehow.
Side note, is there signature on these? If they end up in my customs I'm wondering if I should change it to my work address in case I'm not home. Can't risk them being sent back. I want the headphones, not just a refund. This whole thing is getting crazy. Especially since someone mentioned the packages might be damaged to weather which I'd find weird because they should be safely inside a vehicle or warehouse.
eloquentmuseHi Everyone - Thank you all for bringing this to our attention. We are looking into this and Noble is talking to USPS today.
I know this delay is very frustrating. Our team, as well as Noble’s, is looking into this and we will let everyone know as soon as we have more information.
AveryCThank you, I appreciate that AveryC and I'm sure you'll all do your best. I understand a delay, just so long as I actually get my headphones. #teamwork #wewillgetthere
Sloblo@bangkokkid Unfortunately this mix-up has even sent @Sloblo's pair of K10s back to MD and they've issued him a refund without cause or explanation. Perhaps if this stands, he could still get the pair he paid and waited for. I'm sure he's not the only one in HIS particular boat.
AveryCIt seem like everyone who is on the second batch have the same problem with USPS. I also got the same tracking as everyone else here.
"In transit" is an automatic update when the package haven't been scan for in 18 hour or so. It also will automatic update 3 times before going silence, which is exactly what happen here. Since it's never scan as depart from Santa Barbara, it's probably stuck there. I hope it's just a delay and it will arrive soon. But please, consider using upgrade service or change shipping partner next time.
eloquentmuseI put in an inquiry through the USPS website. Received a call shortly after, though I was driving and it went to voicemail. Basically the gist from the administrator at the local post office (Western New York) was that the package was sent 'only standard first class' and that 'it has only been a week' and that I should expect it by Saturday or even next Monday.
Now, it seems strange that a delivery date of March 3rd should ever have been indicated on the USPS tracking site, but this rep did not sound high on glue so I'm inclined to believe what he said.
I may call them back for more info, but he did indicate that the info on the tracking site is exactly the same info he has, and he read it off to me in the message and did not seem as disturbed as I have been that the tracking stopped on Saturday. As paranoid and suspicious as I tend to be, I may just try to not let this occupy my every waking thought and see what the weekend brings...
mjryderI appreciate this update. The only thing I'd say still doesn't make sense is our identical logistic information. I can understand a package taking over a week to cross the country, but not nearby cities in the same state. Since folks in LA and San Francisco seem to have the same problem I'm honestly still suspicious.
pawpro2Yeah, me too... You know, I've placed four orders through MassDrop and the first 3 all went FedEx. This, the most expensive package, goes USPS. I have to admit that my heart sank a bit when I first saw that.
mjryderSame result here. I heard back from the USPS today on my open case. They said first class is slow and I should just keep waiting. Doesn’t explain the tracking irregularities, etc.
DovahkiinNot all items return to inventory. In this case, the item wasn't entered back by our warehouse staff. This likely means that it was damaged in transit or was otherwise found to be in a condition that we can't resend. As far as pulling another unit out of inventory, we can't do that since we don't have any more available inventory as I mentioned in my previous message. We only order the exact number of units that our members order.
I'm afraid we can't compensate you for the cable since it was a no-cost addition since the drop itself was delayed. We're only able to refund what you paid.
You should see the refund in 2-3 business days.
Again, I do apologize for the inconvenience. If there's any other issues you'd like to discuss, please let me know.
Best,
Zachary
Massdrop you suck. This is beyond unacceptable and I will no longer be using the service.
SlobloSend that mail to @bangkokkidYou losing out because of massdrops's incompetence in cost cutting and choosing a terrible shipping agency isn't fair. Maybe they can help
(brannan@nobleaudio.com)
DovahkiinI'm done at this point - not worth my time anymore. I've already ordered a pair of Campfire Audios which will arrive tomorrow.
@bangkokkid@Dovahkiin@AveryC Sorry, I'm not one to get screwed over 3 times then bends over a fourth. I'm done buying on Massdrop, and if I see anything interesting I will be posting the competitors price I buy at since in 80% of drops there is shit value and can be found cheaper elsewhere.
I've supported this site(for years) because they occasionally put out a unique product, but since they cant seem to deliver on that lately there's literally ZERO reason to me to spend money here. It's a shame and hopefully someone can take this business model and actually make it work. Until then, I'll be using Amazon or calling manufacturers directly as they TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.
attilahunI don't think we're out of the woods yet. As @Sloblo mentioned, he got the same update before it was just sent back to Massdrop. The packages are currently at the Santa Clarita distribution center, which isn't far at all from where they already supposedly were. If they're damaged, I suspect we'll soon know based on where they travel next.
pawpro2I would wonder if the IEM itself would survive anyway were the box to have water damage. I thought these ship in the waterproof pelican case so it would be unnecessary to write them off entirely...
npc2Yes, the pelican case should adequately protect the earphones from water damage. It's just hard to know what condition the packages are in and where the issue stands, with all of the confusing and unhelpful information we've received.
Updated March 8: We have an update for those of you affected by the delayed tracking: We just heard back from USPS regarding the delayed tracking issue. Updated March 8: Hi Everyone - Thank you all for bringing the USPS shipping delay to our attention.
Updated February 23: Just checking in to let everyone know that production is wrapping up for the second batch of IEMs. Noble has informed us that they are on track to ship on February 28. Thank you to everyone for their patience with this drop. We are looking forward to you all receiving the first production of the Massdrop x Noble Kaiser 10 Universal IEMs.
Updated February 9: Hi Everyone, We have a quick update on the second batch of the Massdrop x Noble Kaiser 10 Universal IEMs. Noble has informed us that production is still in progress for this batch, and we’re on track to ship the IEMs at the end of February. We’ll provide an update on February 23 with the shipping status. Updated February 2: We want to quickly clarify the confusion around coupons. The coupons were issued only to members whose IEMs were delayed until February 28. We’ve clarified this with Brannan, and we all apologize for the confusion. If you have any questions about which group you are in, please reach out to community support via your transactions page: https://www.massdrop.com/transactions
Updated January 26: Hi Everyone, We have an update on the Massdrop x Noble Kaiser 10 Universal IEMs. If you don’t want to wait the additional time, you can cancel your order via the transactions page: https://www.massdrop.com/transactions
We’ll have an update on February 9 with the status of the second batch.
