*I'm waiting for the the comply600's to come in, as well as giving these another couple days or so to burn in, so my opinion may change* Honestly, I find these lacking in pretty much all departments when compared to the nuforce HEM4's, even the bass (very sad)! I got the HEM4 from Massdrop for $70 less, and they are not considered an amazing pair of IEM's. After reading reviews of the X, I'm actually quite disappointed (yes, I have tried all the provided tips). If the new tips/burn in don't change it much, these will be offered if someone wants really wants them; otherwise I'll keep them as a backup or for the gym (which I was hoping to downgrade the HEM4's to that duty).

ThisisntbicNever heard the HEM4 but these are pretty laid back compared to other stuff I have, maybe that's what you perceive as lacking? Give your ears some time to adjust maybe?

FenyaI want to give it a chance, especially after waiting so long! Haha. Maybe even the huge wait time added to my expectation of being blown away (as they say, distance makes the heart grow fonder :p)
I don't want to write it off on the first day or two, thus why I'm waiting a couple more days especially once I get the new tips. From reading other's reception of it, I expected it to be an incredible step up, similar to, say, moving from 598's to the TH-X00's; a huge difference in the way they sound. Don't worry, I'll come back and be sure to share my opinion in a week or so after I've spent quality time with it.

ThisisntbicExpectations are quite a tricky dragon to tame aren't they :P I've demoed a fair a selection of IEMs so I know what I like and trust Mark's reviews so I did know what I was getting luckily.
As for tips, you're getting the Comply foams? I found that they made the sound noticeably warmer, the bass sounded not as punchy. This might be to your preference thought who knows? I still prefer foams for comfort though the bores of these are large enough that it sometimes bothers my small ears when using foams.
The first day of using it I found they were extremely laid back, but the last few days I'm not sure if because of acclimation or burn in (or settling on the JVC tips), but they've become nicely engaging. If it doesn't work out though, there's probably plenty of people willing to take them off your hands.

ThisisntbicMy cable is fine. Been listening for three straight hours since receiving them and have been comparing to the Shure SE846, Audeze LCD-3, Sennheiser HD800, and NuForce HEM-6. Make sure the pins are connected correctly and try taking the cables out of the earpiece and putting it back in place. If that doesn't work then contact Noble or Massdrop.

Dj3170How do the Noble X's compare to the SE846's?

TheDevilishGOdThe Noble X's have a warm sound similar to the Shure's due to the low pass filter Shure uses. However the SE846's have more micro detail than can sometimes be fatiguing to the ear over long periods of time. The Noble's have a similar sound signature with a little less detail and not as mid centric, as is often the case with Shure due to their famous house sound. I am able to listen to the Noble X's for very long periods of time and they still give an incredible amount of detail without being fatiguing. Both the Noble's and the Shure's have very good sound stages, with the SE846 sounding similar to being in a recording studio whereas the Noble X's sound a little more often but with less overall depth and ease of placement of the sounds direction. Also the Noble's are a tad more comfortable given their different shape, as the SE846's length can then be uncomfortable after a couple hours. Both are great IEM's in their own way, while they are more similar than not. Honestly I am impressed for the bass impact that Noble can accomplish with only a two balanced armature design, whereas the Shure's pack a little more thump in the low end, but not by too much. Overall I love the Noble X's so far and am looking forward to them after some burn in time, but so far so good! If you have any other specific questions feel free to ask.

FenyaI have the same feeling to you about the comply foam, the bass sounded firmer in the silicone tips. Can you recommend any good silicone tips? the stock silicone is not comfortable to wear

ngohieu191I don't usually wear silicones because I don't find them comfortable, this includes SpinFits. If you want to get the SpinFits on the NobleX you'll have to stretch it quite a bit.

ngohieu191I use spinet ear tips on my Shure SE846 IEMs and would not use anything else after trying them. They have great comfort and delivery quicker response than the included memory foam tips for the Shure's. I'm sure they will be great on the Noble X's, however I like the bass response that the foam tips give with those IEMs in particular.
