Got these after a season of waiting, am not disappointed even though the 70 quids custom charges shenanigan. Pair well with my DX90 and S6 Edge so I'm happy. Not hard to drive at all. First, the build quality is insane for the money, fitting and isolation is a bit meh(I miss Shures and Westones now) but serviceable. The 3.5mm jack is a bit crap, looks nice but not L-shaped and the smooth look plastic makes it very hard to unplug, especially from DAPs with tight ports. The sound signature is flat, or balanced, not emphasized on any major aspect, will not impress one instantly yet no deadly flaws I'll say, unlike all the other Massdrop audio stuff. Not as bassy as I've imagined(so many reviews wrote it as a bassy pair roflmao), the balance between all the aspect makes this a good pair for all sorts of genres, and a great pair of IEMs for audiophiles.

MeruThey said it would require a deep insertion and a foam tip to have the perfect bass

ngohieu191Have been rocking the given medium size foam tips and pretty sure I've been sticking the pair very deep into my ear canals. I'm yet to try them with comply foams but I'll say the bass is very average with this pair of Noble, and the decay and speed isn't fast neither, something like the Shure SE215s have more bass overall. Not like I'm complaining.

MeruIf you don't think these IEM's have good bass response.. try playing the T.Rex (SFX) track from this album https://www.amazon.com/Great-Fantasy-Adventure-Album/dp/B000003CZH for comparison. The low bass tremor at the beginning prior to the stomping is distinctive on home audio, but is often lost on most IEM's. I can hear them with these IEM's.

SpecTPThe subbass response of the Noble is good, but that's the lack of overall bass quantity to emulate the "subwoofer" feeling. Like I have emphasized before, I don't hate thinny bass, but I could see people wanting for more bass. My listening reference isn't really bass-heavy but just a bit extra of bass quantity is a good news.

SpecTPYou will be interested in the JVC FX850 and FX1200, insane bass performance on these two pairs of IEMs.

MeruThey are very neutral indeed, if there is a lack of bass in the recording, there'll be a lack of bass in the X. I use Comply ear tips with mine, I think seal is very important with the X, the silicon tips are garbage.
They are definitely capable of deep extension, they remind me a little of my HE-1000, if there is an abundance of bass, they will convey it, if it's light, they won't. Although overall the HE-1000 is slightly warmer.

KalavereThey are rather neutral and precise as IEMs go, not really neutral as the definition goes but for IEMs that's nothing really neutral other than the UE18pro. In my collection maybe the AKG K550s have the resemblance on bass response due to how non-present the bass is on the K550s. Totally unrelated sound quality other than bass. The pair of Nobles do honestly reflect the bass level on recordings that are bassy or bass-heavy, but on normal songs the "honesty" causes lost of fun for me sometimes. The improved subbass response doesn't bring up the required bass punch, and then bass quantity to form the"force", leaving instruments feeling powerless at times and gives the impression of not bassy. Coupled with the spacious soundstage, and calm highs, the chain reaction for me is that pop songs and instrumental songs will do well, but thick female vocals fall flat all of the time. Don't have the HEKs, demo'd a few times so I won't make a comment on the comparisons.
