Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I'm probably the last person that should be giving suggestions about these. The sound initially out of the box is thin and hollow as if missing an entire range of low end frequencies. But after a several hours and experimentation with various tips to find a good seal, the sound does balance out. The Noble X is more responsive than my T1 and HE-400i running off of my AK KANN. But does seem to still lack spaciousness and musicallity that I was hoping to find. They aren't bad and for $250 I am not disappointed, but I have also spent $60 for a very nice pair of AKG K240 Studio that are now well broken in. Given the right conditions, I will always take the AKG K240 over the Noble X. The Noble X to me seems to lack too much sound stage for me to very happy with them. But, hey for a portable solution sitting in public or out and about, I'd buy them again for $240. I'm just not going to expect any IEM to sound like a pair of full size STAX, Sennheizer, or Audeze.
These things look.... HUGE. The female model couldn't even get the eartips into her ear canals. Are they? HUGE?
