Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

I wonder how many Katana owners would agree that the sage or the savant is better than the katana?
The X's are really good, but when you compare side by side, it's obvious why the Encore and Katana's are priced the way they are.
But if you're reading this, odds are you are probably able to swing $250 for a pair of IEM's.
With that said, you really have to compare the X's to what's out there for $250 or less. While I have not heard a lot of competition, I have heard a few of the much less expensive IEM's like Xiaomi's, iMore, VE Monk, etc. I think many of the really inexpensive IEM's can give you remarkably good sound for the price, I think at $250, the X's are worth the extra money. Are they 50 times better than the VE Monk? ;-) Probably not, but that's not how audio gear works. It's not a linear relationship.
If you can afford $250, the X's are really good for the price. One person mentioned that Noble made the X's too good for the price! They definitely perform higher than their $250 price, IMHO.
If you can afford to save up for a pair of Katana's or Encore's, then sure, they are definitely better by a wide margin, but they're not 7.4 times as good!
Glad you liked our Out Of Your Head software. It works really well with IEM's to give any IEM or headphone a huge soundstage. Open-ness and soundstage are no longer a factor with headphones or IEM's since our software makes all of them super open and spacious. (And 7.1 for movies and gaming too!)
