Received these a few days ago. Very fast shipping and the quickest transaction so far using Massdrop.
To say I was excited for these is an understatement. I been looking for a pair of IEM's for some time now and believed that since they had a larger housing they should, in theory, provide a larger sound stage. These though fall quite a bit short. Reading through the comments someone stated these provided a mellow feel, and that couldn't be more accurate. There's little to no punch with these and will not get those goosebumps going.
On the positive side these are unbelievably comfortable. I've worn them for 6 hours straight and had no discomfort. One strange thing did occur within the first hour I was testing them, it felt like there was an arc from the IEM to my ear for about 2 seconds. Pretty painful and very strange, but I haven't been able to replicate that occurrence.
I'm happy with these, just not elated. As a second/backup pair these are great. However, if you're like me, and looking for sound quality over look/comfort, the Ostry KC06A's are the way to go. Not only are they cheaper, about $44, but the sound stage blows these out of the water and then some. The Ostry's create that "wow' moment, these... well, they're comfortable and look cool.

EuraBunsholeCan't agree more with your review. These are very comfortable pairs and they look good. But the sound that the pair produces is disappointing - Lacks detail. However for what it costs($35 with a coupon), I can't complain.

EuraBunsholeCheckout the Monoprice MP80. If you like the comfort of these NuForce IEMs you'll like the MP80s comfort and the sound is pretty amazing. I was able to get them for $67 during one of their sales and I think the aluminum housing gives it a look and durability far superior to the NuForce EDCs. One difference though is the MP80 has an MMCX connection, better I think compared to the two-pin because it allows the IEM to spin giving a better fit. The MP80 is also a hybrid with a BA + DD and tuning nozzles.

EuraBunsholeI have to agree, I was a bit disappointed with these myself... I wanted to like them but I had a hard time because the sound was kinda muted and lacked any kind of sparkle. However, I read somewhere that these guys benefit from a good amp, so I tried cranking up the volume and funny enough, they sound much better at higher volumes. The downside is that you have to use them at higher volumes... like seriously higher. I think I had to set my volume to double what I normally set it to listen to my other headphones. Fortunately, since they're fairly muted, I didn't find the extra volume fatiguing, but there is a lot of sound leakage. My mic picked up the sound coming from my ears incredibly clearly, like there was a speaker playing in the background. I don't think these will become EDC for me, maybe something I listen to while laying in bed or when I don't want cans over my ears.

techwizI also found these to handle increased volume reasonablay well. Paired them with my mini headphone amp and drove them to the max... the quality wasn’t bad, but there’s still no goosebumps. Solid product and I enjoy them quite a bit. Mostly for the comfort. Just wish the sound stage matched some of the others at this price point.

ILoveStuffThanks for the advice. Took a look at the Monoprice MP80’s and they look pretty sweet. Would love to give them a go but am in the market now for a set of wireless.. or potentially convert a set of IEMs into wireless with the right adapter.. any recommendations for inexpensive audiophile wireless IEMs?

EuraBunsholeBecause these are MMCX you can use any Bluetooth MMCX module like the one from Shure or PLUSSOUND has one that's a little more expensive. I hesitate to say these are "audiophile" because from my experience the sound is "different" and in the case of my PLUSSOUND cable there is an audible noise when they are on. It is very light and I can only notice in quiet environments, but it IS there and it's annoying.

EuraBunsholeAgree!! Very comfortable. Great form factor. But holy crap, boring, dull, rolled-off, slow... Zzzzz I just hope they 'break-in' and speed up a bit so I can get some semblance of detail...
