I'm looking for an IEM that has the same sound (and value for money) as the HD6XX. Could this be it?

typericeyAs someone who rocks Beyerdynamic DT-990s and used the HD-650s, not at all. These are overly bright and and lack the rich mids of headphones. Honestly, the best I've found for earbuds for that great "German" sound are the Klipsch X10s (the X11is weren't quite as good) but the durability on those were absolute trash. I just got these. They're consumery-bloated sound. Not bad for $60 but they sound like $60 earbuds. That, and earbuds really just can't compete with open ear cans like the 6xxs you're used to rocking...

FuzzyWalrusThanks. Perhaps the new EDC 3 would do it for me but no one knows yet. They are positioning it as neutral and not V-shaped. I understand that IEMs cannot do the "open" sound, but what I'm looking for is the non fatiguing 6XX tonality (response curve?).

typericeyNeither EDC or EDC3 should cause too much listening fatigue. However, if my ears remember correctly, I´d say EDC3 is closer to HD6XX.
