This or the TFZ King Pro? I don't like the V-sound and both models seem to be kind of neutral or balanced, but which one of these is the better value? Or they are just different and can't compare to each other?

FenrizI have the same question. Wondering if I should cancel the TFZ King Pro order for this.. they're in the same price range.

FenrizI own the king pro and the original EDC. Based on the review on headfonia the comparison would lead me to believe that the king pro have a much better soundstage and deeper bass, while these are tuned a bit more towards upper mids and a laid back-ness.
King pro are single driver, these are multi-BA so you could possibly expect more detail from these (a lot of that would depend on the crossover, so I wouldn't make that a"given" as the king pro are extremely detailed and resolving).
For MY taste, the king pro are the obvious choice but I'd pick these over the 1mores if you want multiple drivers at this price without the risk of KZ. The headfonia review leads me to believe these are behind the curve in the soundstage aspect. That being said, if your driving these from a lower quality DAC/amp or a phone, you probably won't get that soundstage right anyway. Honestly, that line in the headfonia review almost entirely killed my interest in these, so pending differing reviews or experiences of these, I'm out for now.
I'd like to know of a comparison between these and the fiio f9 pro or fh1. When you consider the price of an aftermarket balanced cable, they're about the same as the f9 pro. But then again, if the staging is not good, balanced won't matter as much.

SciHoboI owned the rev2 of the Fiio F9 and was not impressed with it at all. Ended up returning it back to Amazon. It has a very distinct treble spike in the upper register which just killed it for me. On top of that, it's bass was WAY too boomy and really did bleed into the mids. With them being metal and having such a large nozzle, they were also pretty uncomfortable and heavy.
From what I've been reading about the EDC3 so far, it already sounds better than what the F9 was trying to do.

FenrizI have never heard the TFZ IEM's, but I heard that they have a somewhat V shaped sound to them. Personally I would grab the Nuforce IEM's and be done with it!
As always, YMMV 😎

FOBeanThe king pro is the most balanced tfz I've heard, it's only got a hint of the v shape house sound, so that doesn't apply like it would to the e5. At some point I'll probably pick these up too, but unless headfonia is wrong about the soundstage, I'm pretty sure I'll prefer the king pro to the edc3 just like I preferred the tfz exclusive 5 to the original EDC. Then again, I listen 98% at a desk with high quality sources. The most active I usually am is getting something from the printer. The EDC fit/seal better so it really depends on your use and tonality preferences.
For exercise or more activity or cheap sources, i'd probably go with nuforce over tfz due to comfort and impedance (55 ohm versus 16 ohm).

SciHoboI would take that Headfonia review with a grain of salt. After reading what he had to say about the F9 I'd be on edge. The F9 by no means had good width or depth and it definitely did not have good imaging. You should really check out other reviews since they're trickling out now but there's one out there that directly compared the EDC to the EDC3. Measurement charts are also being posted as well.
The EDC's really are a steal at $60. I listen to MQA on Tidal through my iFi nano iDSD BL and they sound pretty damn good for the cost. I alternate between them and my Shure 846s and yeah, while they're not nearly close as good as the 846s, they do a lot very well for $60.

jaydunndidditYeah, I haven't always agreed with headfonia, but it's enough to make me wait for the next drop for more of a consensus. Given they've said it's the same enclosure, I'd guess it's similar to the edc, which was "ok for the price" in soundstage. Again, with IEMs, who knows, it could be the shape/size of my ear canals, I've found IEMs to be very much YMMV, much more so than over the ear sets.
Most people still think staging is worse on IEMs than over the ear sets (open and closed even), but I couldn't agree less sat this point. King pro is highly superior to any of my closed sets.
