Is there any possibility of extending the Colevorak kit (or generating a new kit) to include the Workman layout? This would require only four additional keys: R2 -> D, B. R3 -> Y. R4 -> L. I would be prepared to pay a small fortune for this extension.
sevenseacatI wonder if we get enough of us to coordinate and promise to meet the MOQ to get these one- offs if it could be processed at the same time? if any set would be able to meet the MOQ for something like this it would be a programming set. I would totally buy 25 sets just to get the Mod DH keys.
scarhoof@Oblotzky it's probably way too late for this but...
From what I can see, to add Norman support to a Dvorak/Colemak/Workman kit would require:
R2: K, R
R4: P
so seven keys added to the base Colevrak kit for both Workman and Norman support.
The Colemak DH mod I think would need:
R2: B (also in Workman)
R3: G, K
R4: D, H
so in all, 11 added keys.... Might be stretching it a bit...
sevenseacatR3 G/K are already in QWERTY actually. So Mod-DH after QWERTY and Colevrak, only needs three keys: R2-B, and R3-D/H so that brings us to needing 10 keys to cover three more keysets.
All together we're talking about: (correct me if I'm wrong here).
R2- B, K, R, D
R3-G, K, Y
R4-D, H, L
Edit: Now is the time to do this, when we still have a little time to negotiate, and since they would already have the colors ready to go, it makes more sense to get them processed at the same time as this set rather than after. If any set can support these niche of a niche sets, it's this one.
LibbumI'm afraid it is too late for changes like these. Having the Colevrak kits available in both colors already puts a strain on things, pushing the initial price even further up to 49,99$ or so would be a risky move. Sorry!
