Considering replacing a Rega BRIO-R (not the new model, but purchased about 5 years ago) with this. Good idea? Mainly with vinyl (Clearaudio Concept TT, MM cartridge), though the DAC input is also of interest.

WaldemarI’d keep the Brio-R.

WaldemarAlthough the Sprout is a great performer the Brio-R (even if five years old) will run circles around it in regard to sound quality and its built in phono. I’d suggest getting a small outboard DAC. There are a lot of great sub-$300 options with nice sounding DAC chips.

WaldemarThat would be a step down, rather than up IMO. There's a reason the Brio costs 2x the sprout.
