lastzeroWow $500k cars.
Wow $100k watches.
Wow $10k computers.
My point? You pay what you want to pay, and you get what you pay for (unless you're ignorant and make bad decisions).

VigrithI think what you mean to say is you get what you pay for but what you make and use of it is from what skills you have. I'd be more curious to see what top fidgit spinners look like, just like it takes skill to drive a 500K car. and get the best of it.

lastzeroWhat I mean is that there are expensive versions of cheap things. If you want cheap, you buy cheap, you pay cheap, you get cheap. Inversely, you can get something expensive. Is it worth the money? That's up to you. All I was trying to convey is that I find it odd that you are surprised expensive fidget spinners exist.

lastzeroIT would actually take less skill to get the best out of an automatic transmission Lamborghini Aventador than it would to even drive a manual transmission '89 Accord

VigrithYou're missing my point in general. There are expensive versions of cheap things but not all things are NEEDED in life. A car is very nice to own but expensive cars are still cars which get's you to a place. I don't deny there can be more fidget spinners for different price ranges but more so that all spinners, correct me if I'm wrong, is entertainment. I guess you can say that with sports in general but to each their own in how one uses their money.

dead_pixel_designSimilarly it takes less effort to use more fuel in a Lambo than an Accord but I suppose the general statement is that you prioritize what you like, not necessarily what you need, which is my fallacy.

lastzeroI think maybe we are facing a grammar or language barrier because your last two comments have made your point make less sense. Now I don't know either what you were saying, or what you are trying to say.

dead_pixel_designI've tried elaborating on what seems seems correct. If you can't read it then I have nothing else to say.

lastzeroYeah, I think your elaboration caused more confusion than it clarified anything. It was a really poor analogy to begin with, on your side of the discussion, and I think that is where your point gets lost. That mixed with your vague and unfocused original sentiment and poor word choice just killed the spirit of the exchange. But if you ended up getting one of these I hope you really enjoy it, I am excited for it purely from and aesthetic/design perspective, less so than because it is a 'spinner', which is something I don't really care for.

dead_pixel_designTo each their own there. I think my analogy fits. I'll assume since my analogy is poor that you've actually driven a Lambo and realized that revving it up correctly, without causing smoke out of the engine of said vehicle, is much easier than stick shifting an old car, thus making your analogy "poor."

lastzeroIt wasn't your analogy, it was @Vigrith's, we just used it.
And yes, I have driven Lamborghinis, among many other super cars, both manual and automatic. As well as many, MANY, shitty compact sedans.
Car analogies aside, your point still got lost in translation, and I am just curious what you were trying to say. Are you just saying you're surprised there is a novelty item that costs $50?
